If , ( big if obviously) MM would have taken the points at a couple of instances in the Giants game and the Rams game instead of going for it on 4th down( my mantra, ALWAYS take the points until the 4th quarter when different decisions have to be made to try and win) This team would currently be 6-3. That would obviously make a big difference in how they are viewed and what true opportunities they would have this year. I do believe MM has a very good viewpoint in building this team. Get the right people that fit the team and keep going until you get it right (as he said adjust and retool everything as needed to get there.) I just hope that JS corrects the obvious weakness in evaluating the pickups on the O-line. Now that they are correcting issues a LB if they could run consistently the offense would be totally different.

Want a better o-line? Move any player to KC. That o-line continues to commit more uncalled fouls than any other team I've watched. The RT lines up in the backfield, and is moving backwards at the snap on ALMOST EVERY PLAY. Only saw him called for it one time, even though he did the exact same thing on the next play and it wasn't called. SMH.

Zonna looked really good against the Jets, but I'm not sure that means much, but I do enjoy the Jets losing as long as Rogers is on their team. Kyler looked bored out there. The 9'ers and Detroit continue to be pushed hard in games, but find ways to win. Interesting year.

“ACCEPT their current position in the division, conference, and NFL”

This is the rub, as Schneider has never been able to do this. The idea of putting a competitive team on the field every season is fine, except somewhere along the line the Hawks started believing that the idea was reality. That’s when you fall into the “one player away” and “it’s a good team that just needs a few tweaks” traps.

Schneider is 53 and has been doing it his way for fifteen years. He’s not going to change. The Seahawks are 29-31 since 2021 and haven’t won a playoff game since 2019 despite repeated roster and coaching shuffling and changing QBs.* But there is a common denominator…

* That Russell Wilson was able to carry the Hawks through some deceptively successful regular seasons masks what has long been a B- front office. BTW, Russell looked good yesterday, despite being under pressure all game behind an OL with two rookie starters.

Watching the Lions got out an improbable win by doing what they needed to do in the second half (hold the Texans to 0 points and scoring enough to come back and win 26-23 after being down 23-7 at the half) shows me just how far away the Seahawks are.

There is a world of difference between “close” and “getting there”.

I am curious who we think might be a better QB for the Hawks by this time next year, and how we might realistically obtain their services. I don’t think this draft class holds the answer, and fear swinging and missing if we try. I wonder if the Colts have already given up on Richardson, which seems idiotic, but could he fit Grubb’s system and learn behind Geno for a while? Also, I’d like to see Howell start a couple games so we know what we have, or don’t have.

You have to start swinging the bat, though. Five of the top sixteen teams start QBs drafted after the first round.

I’d like to the team to be realistic. Gregg Vell keeps pushing the narrative we are 1 game out ( now 1.5). While maybe true this is not a good team that’s very unbalanced.

Play the players that McD likes to see if they fit the scheme. If not move them or cut them in the off season.

I realize a lot of fans love spoon and the piick but we didn't not need yet another DB. A good D line covers up a lot of flaws. We could have had Carter that has a PFF score of 93

They said he had issues etc but we had no problem signing Adams that was the opposing a team player. Take a chance sometimes for elite talent.

I have picked them at the start of the season for six wins with all the changes. We may not even do that after all they lost to the Giants.

You never win against the western teams up north

And there's no players that are playing what they’re worth

I’m trying hard not to feel it

But baby, baby I know it

You lost that winning' feelin'

Whoa, that winning' feelin'

You lost that winning' feelin'

Now it's gone, gone, gone, whoa-oh
