Richardson looks terrible, night and day from last week, whereas Levis is playing up to the competition after an up and down opener. Gotta say amateur scouting college QBs is kinda fun

I will need to do a better job of emphasizing this point over the next couple of months, since I know what I've done to hype up Grayson McCall around here: Bryce Young is one of the best QB prospects I've ever seen. Anyone other than him as the number one pick doesn't make any sense to me.

Ken, Which of Bill Walsh's five is McCall weak point?

BTW. GMc seems to be having a pretty good first half. CC is up 17-10

OFFENSE

PASSING CP/ATT YDS TD INT

G. McCall 11/15 167 1 1

Arm strength is the weak point I think.

Bill Walsh, when asked how he evaluated QBs. said all the scouts had it backwards .

Walsh said 1 was intelligence, 2 was accuracy, 3 was mobility in the pocket , 4 was leadership and 5th was arm strength.

Pretty good description of Joe Montana,.

I completely agree with Bill Walsh, to the surprise of nobody. Grayson has 4 of 5. Bryce Young has 5 of 5.

Bryce looked great today against a very good Texas. Trade your 2nd 1 or one of the 2nds to get Bryce. Best QB in a great QB class. Cool, calm and collected.

I feel ya...been social media free two years now and can already feel my IQ going up. Human's are tribal by nature and peer approval and being part of the community is part of what drives us to be "fans" or fanatics.

Having said that...GO HAWKS!

Texas DBs are looking great. Surprised to see them tied at the half with Alabama, especially without their QB.

Man, that was so nearly an upset.

Texas has some speed on defense. Impressive showing. Bryce Young did what he needed to when it mattered, though.

Texas is gonna be a player this year but definitely going to be ranked number one at some point in 2023

Keep doing what you’re doing and backing up what you’re saying. I’m also happy that you haven’t spent any time with the internet favorites; what color are the jerseys going to be this week and, of course, are the fans going to boo Russell when he enters the stadium .

Dang. The problem with Spencer Rattler 'n Will Levis not being great means that the Hawks may not be able to wait until the 2nd round to draft our Son of Color QB. C'est la vie.

The times for college games shown are for Pacific Time Zone.

Actually I should add this and I should repeat it later: we’ve got plenty of examples of QBs who didn’t “click” until four or five years in college. Zach Wilson, Joe Burrow, Kenny Pickett. I’m all for any of these QB prospects starting to click and then I’ll adjust my opinions.

I am a commercial fisherman and am completely out of touch with all forms of news and internet for 3 months. When I return and begin following the news again, mostly nothing of importance has really happened. I feel for you and believe you made the right choice to give up your twitter addiction.

Great perspective Ken.

There is a qualitative difference between a thousand opinions and (essentially) the same opinion a thousand times. The survey of the Seaside Joe community is an example of the former.
