That fumble against the rams was concerning...I hope Kupp keeps doing well but there's an inevitable fight with father time we all lose. He still comes through in the clutch and is a great leader. Plus I'm a total homer, so I like having him around.
What I would dearly love to see is RB's getting the second most targets, not a WR or TE. It's the one thing the Seahawks have never done in my memory, is threaten with the RB in the passing game consistently. Defences can cheat if they don't think that RB coming out of the backfield is a real threat. Even if they don't get tons of targets, they have to feed them enough to pull a LB from the middle of the field so the TE's can go to work, or an underneath WR.
I'd also like to see Fleury getting the TE's to chip/block and release more. These are really effective outlets and again, keeps the LB's honest.
I'm very curious to see the offence this year. I think it will be different.....how different remains to be seen. One things for sure. We won't know until week 1 or 2. Preseason will tell us almost nothing.
Off topic, but James Pearce Jr just got an 8-game suspension. I am not clever enough to compare his offenses with Arnold’s charges, and wouldn’t want to say which is “worse.” Arnold does theoretically face life in prison; Pearce got a diversion program. NFL rules apparently operate differently than the court system.
Pierce negotiated last April to spend six months in a pretrial intervention program, which may result in his charges being dropped. The plea agreement included no admission of guilt. Pearce was charged with three felony counts -- aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, fleeing and eluding police and resisting an officer with violence.
One point SJ notes often, and already seen multiple times these early games, the athleticism of these deeper down bench or rookie Receivers. “Incredible one-handed grab” “huge elevation over defender” or “elite speed”. All true but as new Raiders QB noted, “everyone is so fast at this level”.
I'm down for the Kupp Cup. Best Offensive Skill Position Over-30 (so we can exclude QB's and Linemen). Then we can have the Shields Shield for Linemen Over-30 (Will Shields). QB's get nothing because they have the MVP.

Under the degrees of Kevin category, In 2013 Germaine Kearse, who went to the SAME high school I did (in the 60's), caught a touchdown in a Superbowl we won...THE SAME year Cooper Kupp, who went to THE SAME college I did (also in the 60's) won the Jerry Rice Award, then went on to earn a ring in the next Seahawk Superbowl win. Not sure what it all means...perhaps a nexus where the end zone and the twilight zone merge? (Dudee do do...) Would these two great Seahwks have helped win in two Superbowls had I not gone to both of these fine educational institutions ahead of them? Begs the question, do I need a 12 step program for delusional thinking?
So, according to my (half baked) calculations, 2013 being a significant year for both Kearse AND Kupp, and if you double 13 you get 26, then 2026 should be a stellar year for Kupp and a slam dunk to win another Super Bowl.
Kupp's our Ninja WR. While DR'S are focused on JSN, Rasheed, Horton and Arroyo he's gonna make those clutch plays.

He's gonna hit it when it counts, like he always does. I would hope his retirement from playing leads directly to an assistant coaching role
