I agree with you 100%. In my opinion, the Seahawks were smart to trade Wilson this year. Probably should have done it a few years back because they could have demanded more, but they still got a good haul. But to now squander those resources would be stupid. Beyond stupid. Pathetic, incompetent, professional malpractice might be more fitting.

I'm scared because it's hard to imagine Pete Carroll being patient. He and Schneider, if they make bad choices, could leave us in a crater. It's hard to imagine our coach having the stomach for a full rebuild. But to attempt to pump this team is to argue with reality and one always loses that sort of argument. We just don't have the talent to do anything with a top QB. Too many poor drafts (and foolish trades of draft picks). We were in win-now mode because we had the great QB. Now we don't, so it's time to chart a new course.

I think Deshaun Watson has to many off field problems to fit into Pete's type of image he wants his players to portray. I believe Pete wants his young players to develop/grow into successful men on and off the field. So i would be surprised if Pete and John decide to go after Deshaun Watson. I believe there are better options out there to pick from.
