I just watched Season 2, Episode One, "A New Hope" (oops, I mean "A New Dawn"). I don't agree with some others here that they've improved anything. This episode was supposed to give us a look inside the draft room, and a glance at our new Seahawks and what their experience was like in their earliest moments as professionals. I didn't get any sense of the emotion that goes with these experiences. John Schneider is a pretty expressive guy and kind of carried the episode. It would have been really boring without him. It was cool to see the rookies in some behind-the-scenes moments, but there was no context to these scenes or any attempt at story telling. They need to get a better director to help tell a story, set up the scenes, help with the editing, etc. You are working with coaches, staff, and professional athletes, not actors; give them some help!!!
'Hawks fan, big enough to follow fan blogs - had never head of "The Sound of the Seahawks" until today. And based on the comments here, and looking up a few others around the internet, feel safe skipping over season 1 entirely. Will wait until I hear how this entire new series is before checking it out.
I'm just waiting for Hard Knocks! Not just a truly stand our NFL series, but a stand our Documentary series overall. These team specific series, of which i'll include All or Nothing, are best done when pushed by the league/outside production company. Self driven series have never really worked for me.
As i'm now deep in the tangent of sports doc's - this week i've been loving "No Room For Error", a series behind-the-scenes at the 2022 Isle Of Man TT - A great watch for fans of the TT, motorsport, or sport in general. Very honest, very candid, highly highly recommended (no idea where you'd watch it in the US, so sail the seas of piracy or a VPN)
It's pretty good! Granted, I'm dying inside for football to start and am watching our draft pick's college games and OTA highlights in my spare time, so take that as you will.
I just watched a New Dawn. I am struck by the same thing I always am, how well spoken and calm all their draft picks are. I am cheering for everyone of them to make the team, not matter what the odds say. Go Hawks
Sound of the Seahawks was worse than lots of fan content on YouTube. I’m not sure if I even watched them all. I hope they do a better job this year. Surely the numbers suggest that they need to.
As for Origin Stories, I’m happy to read anyone’s if it will make me pull for them more. I feel like I know about most of the big names but there’s plenty about even them that I probably don’t know about. Agree with Phillip, I would not mind Pete Carrol!
The fact that they never cracked 100,000 views and never came close to the premiere views really goes to show that they should have kept episode one in the can. It was not good and then even if it improved, few people stuck around to find out, which is kind of hard to do given the diehard nature of fans and people desperately asking for behind the scenes content for years.
The new one is pretty good! My expectations were low, but it was better produced and showed some of the new draftees, which I’m eager to see. Can’t wait til training camp.
I was once planning like a 12-part podcast documentary series that I did a ton of research for and still have saved somewhere. So I could literally write a Pete Carroll biography and who knows, maybe one day I will be ONLY IF IT'S THE AUTHORIZED ONE SO YOU BETTER CALL PETE!
But yes, definitely some Pete stuff could and will happen.
Liked the Sound. Better than Broncos put out.
Thanks for the comment, Rob! Have some free regular joe, hope you en-joe-y it!

I would have to agree that they seemed to maybe put less effort into it this time than by the end of last season.
Episode one of season one was pretty good! After that it was meh

I think that's a good plan. Thanks for the recs!
If you’re looking for how last season’s Sound of the Seahawks was Emmy-nominated, you have to parse the statement carefully.
It is as Emmy-nominated in that a Seahawks intern named Emmy nominated the series for an award. It did not win.
Hahahaha
Just watched the new Sound of the Seahawks. Best one yet; definitely worth the watch.
I wonder if you're setting me up... apparently, the bar was set so low by the 1st one that this could be a trap.
I only watched a couple of season one episodes. Season two looks like more of the same to me, unfortunately.

Really like origin stories being a history buff. Been reading about Derick Hall, an amazing story. May the 12s be with you and Go Seahawks!

I'm all in for every Origin Story.
My favourites would be:
Colby Parkinson
Dareke Young
Abraham Lucas
Olu Olu
Mike Morris
Cam Young
Pete Carroll
I’ll jump the gun too and add Michael Dickson. Truely against all odds coming from another country and beating out players of their native game.

Sorry, you did say you were going to ask Saturday. I guess I jumped the gun
I was hyped enough to completely forget it after reading.
Me, too! Ha!
How about The Allens? Specifically, Jody.
Not opposed to it, but I think that one might get dark.
