Pete loves having game-changing players on offense. A young one? Even better. During a year with cap space and a couple of QBs who need all the support they can get? No brainer. Sign the man and set a positive tone for the whole team going into training camp.

Thanks for your insights. You've explained things, for several weeks now, in a way that makes sense and has prevented me from worrying about it at all. I trust this will get done soon.

"Do what McLaurin did and sign a three-year contract with as much money as you can get. Given that Metcalf’s strongest argument would only make him slightly better than McLaurin and Brown, he might land at $71.5 or $72 million in the best case scenario."

NAILED IT!

Seaside nails it. Three years at 72 million. Thanks for being a voice of reason when so many other places were either panicking or trashing the Seahawks management.

The Kyler Murray issue is WAYY over blown. What is rarely reported is Rappoports follow up tweet to his original tweet where he points out Murray studies 5HRs per game on AVG away from the facility which doesn’t account for the time Murray n the QBs put in at the facility in the QB room preparing. Colt McCoy has talked about how he n Murray break down film for hours together in the QB room.

Murray was one of the best QBs in the NFL last season, he won OROY, Pro Bowl 2 of his first 3 seasons, he was the betting favorite to win MVP through the first 12-13WKs until their offense sustained to many injuries n slowed down.

On top of that Murray ranked in the top 5-8 of almost every significant passing statistic n 2021 posting 2nd highest PFF passing grade among all QBs last year posting an elite 88.1 overall passing grade via PFF,elite 95.9 grade deep passing grade via PFF. PFFs 7thth overall ranked QB w/ an elite 84.5 grade. Murray also ranked 2nd in overall CMP percentage, 2nd overall in completion above expected, top 5 in passing efficiency when blitzed, top 10 in efficiency when he wasn’t blitzed, top 5 clean pocket passer rating, top 10 n DVOA, top 10 DYAR/YAR among QBs, ranked top 3 deep ball accuracy all 3yrs was 2nd last year, 4th in YD/AVG per attempt @7.9 YDs 8.5YDs adjusted, top 3 in big time throws, 7th w/ a 100.6 passer rating, 7th ranked QBR via ESPN.Murray ranked between 2nd-7th all last year in the QB Index finishing last season ranked 7th.

Murray is also one of the 5 Most Productive QBs OF All-Time through his first 3 NFL seasons setting several NFL records and franchise records already despite only being in the league just 3YRs.

Murray is just the 2nd QB Ever to pass for 10K+YDs n 70TDs while rushing for 1500+YDs n 20+TDs n his first 3YRs. Murray has passed for 70TDs & rushed for 20+TDs Faster than any QB in NFL History. Murray is the fastest to 10K+YDs passing n NFL History.

I don’t think u play at that level without studying, I think common sense tells you he’s studying the opposing defenses weaknesses and if he’s playing at the level that is without studying then he is going to be insanely productive once he does start studying… I don’t buy that he’s not studying at all.

I think way to much is being made of this. Brett Favre didn’t know what a nickel or dime defense was thru his FIRST 5 YEARS in the NFL. Big Ben was infamous for not studying film his first 4-5 years in the NFL and won a super bowl.

With the talent they’ve built around Kyler Murray I think AZ is going to have a top 5 passing n top 5 rushing offense again this next season w/ Murray again being a front runner to win MVP n a lot of media folks are going to look stupid again outside of analysts like Cowherd, Louis Riddick, Pete Schrager etc

I am in total agreement with you in the team knows what he is worth and I believe DK knows as well. No matter who his agent is his father played 6 years in the NFL someone DK can trust. His family is already in a good financial position, so there will be most likely positive feed back.

On a sour note there seemed to be soo many football experts suggesting the wisest thing Seattle could do is trade him. For all the reasons Kenneth mentioned, plus what are the odds in catching lightning in a bottle for a second time. When your rebuilding a team what are you looking for, good young talent. DK is 24 and putting up numbers in the same area code as Randy Moss, and Jerry Rice. The only reason I can think of, writing in favor of trading him, is hoping nobody remembers you wrote it, and you can rag on Pete and John for being so stupid. Go get em DK your a stud a gentleman and a team player
