DK Metcalf trade rumors were put to rest this morning as Mike Garafolo is reporting that a source in the Seahawks front office told him that Seattle wasn’t entertaining any calls about the team’s leading receiver.
“Expect DK Metcalf to return against the 49ers after the bye week and to return to the Seahawks. I know there’s been a lot of speculation out there, would the Seattle Seahawks trade Metcalf? I spoke to a high-ranking Seahawks source last week, saying there was a lot of chatter out there and could he possibly be traded? I was given a one-word reply, ‘Nope.’”
Ryan Grubb has spent the last 10 months building an offense that funnels a lot of action towards DK, and he’s also an asset in the run game as a blocker, so it would require the Seahawks to change their gameplan — and potentially get even worse as a rushing team — if they traded Metcalf midseason.
That’s something fans will get a look at for the second game in a row as DK has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Rams with a knee injury.
Metcalf’s Seahawks career will continue for the rest of this season, at least. But unless he gets an extension before the next opportunity to trade players after the season, fans should expect a lot more DK rumors in 2025 until he gets a new contract.

I'm hearing Grubb taking a ton of flack. Let's realize a failure from him is a failure of the entire team- both Coaches and Players. Nothing melds a group like your guys taking up Cause on your behalf. That is a huge reason which unlocks Genius and sets Tone. Finds a new gear. C'mon, Guys. Let's see a solid opening drive. We will begin to see forced interceptions soon. Until then, be prepared to look damn stupid. It's called Risk. I appreciate Coaches willing to keep at it. Keep an eye on Ernest Jones and what we've incorporated with his skills after an entire week. HooAh. Go Hawks.
