The Jadarian Price-to-Seahawks discourse is out of control. I pretty much blame how bad the analysts at NFL Network and ESPN are at analysis (“me see depth chart, me make pick”) but let’s just pretend for a second that John Schneider really is lying about feeling OK at running back and trying to convince teams that Price will be available in the second round so they don’t pick him in the first …

That’s all fine by the way. If you really want Seattle to draft Price, that’s fine. I’m not saying you’re stupid, I’m just saying that the people on TV are stupid for reasons having nothing to do with Price.

When the Seahawks drafted Rashaad Penny in 2018, a move met with criticisms and boos, he was coming off of a 289-carry, 2,248-yard, 23-TD season at San Diego State. And then he ran a 4.46 at 220 lbs.

Jadarian Price is coming off of a 280-carry…….career. And he’s slower than Penny despite weighing 203 lbs and he ruptured his Achilles in 2022 and he might have to come off of the field on third down.

This is not to say that Price couldn’t be the hidden gem of the draft, but even if running back is something that Seattle NEEDS, is that the running back resume in the first round that Seattle WANTS?

On Thursday, I wrote about three players the Seahawks might want but don’t need. Today I flipped it with three players the Seahawks need but potentially won’t want.

RB Jadarian Price, Notre Dame

If Price is a first round pick, it’ll be with one of the worst non-film related resumes for a day one running back in history and here’s why:
