I suspect you will be doing a fair bit of running...
Drew Lock is Not a good as Russell's best seasons. Maybe even Mr. Wilson no longer is. I have Full belief that he can for this year do at least do as well a our former QB was his rookie year.
He can progress. Not likely to the level of a Hall of Fame career. But maybe a top half of the league as a hopeful yet measured goal. A cheap starter is a Big plus.
Pete brought RW along very well and knows the value and the benefit that trust and encouragement has on a player.
Drew's senior year was for the most part as exciting as Patrick Mahomes' last college season was. Against Much better competition...
Sure, the dude has skills that have not been drawn out consistently at all in the pros. But those skills Are there.
Yes. Be cautious. But I submit it is More likely Pete and John are at least a little bit right on this than they are totally wrong.
They were clearly correct on other notable QBs. The brought in Russ, who was passed over by 100% of the league. Mahomes and Josh Allen were also noted as very intruiging to them.
Yes Kenneth. You are likely running at least 150 miles - I hope your legs are up for it!
New competitor Joe Seaside speaks how he got into Iron Man:
"I made a pledge to run 5 miles for each touchdown pass by Drew Lock, then he proceeded to have 6 TD passes on a Thursday after having thrown 5 on the Sunday prior".
Joe said that after running 55 miles in a single week, he would die. After surviving, he decided he would well go into Iron Man. "I mean, I had a newsletter running for a streak of more than a thousand days, what's hard in exercising strenuously for a thousand minutes?"
Here is hoping you are as fit as you have ever been by the end of January. That's right Drew wins at least one playoff game, a very big maybe.
I would like to say how lucky we were to watch Russell Wilson in his prime. I hope he does well in Denver but not week one. If we Seattle in two years are looking at a, both teams won on that trade, it would be great 👍 I know a coach can suck all the life and and confidence from a player. The Jimmy Johnson approach is the right one. Take each player and find out what makes him tick and treat accordingly. Pete Carroll does take the time to do this, so maybe Drew has 150 miles in store for Joe
I love it! I'm in my mid 50's and will co-sign this pledge! My knees and one ankle are piles of trash so I can't sign up for the running portion but I'll also pledge 30 each for every TD. I'm assuming you mean a 50 pound bar and not 50 pound dumbbells in each hand? Cause that's going to take a while.
I will not agree to this same challenge for Grayson McCall if we draft him next season however. I don't have that kind of stamina or endurance these days.
I don't mean to be an ass (well, maybe I do), but I think Lock and Geno combined will likely get Kenneth to 100 miles (20 tds), which over the course of a season, will not be enough for him to train for a half marathon. I'll be happy to be wrong. That doesn't mean this is the wrong decision on QB, just that I expect growing pains with this team across the board.

Like you, I finished dead last as a kid when we were required to run a mile in gym class. Unlike you, when one of the kids called out, "Mr. Pickering, Roy's in pain" (which I was), his response was, "I would be too if I ran that slow". For all the criticism teachers and schools get these days for being too touchy/feely, I think it a huge improvement over what came before. Back when kids weren't protected from bullying and bullies weren't discouraged. If anything, they were encouraged. Perhaps the adults were too damaged to care. Perhaps they thought it would toughen us up. Perhaps their only focus was on getting through the day and collecting a paycheck.
Good for you on getting yourself up for a marathon. My daughter recently ran one. She got into shape after meeting my son-in-law, who is a fitness fanatic. Now she is too.
As for Lock, I'm looking forward to a season with him at the helm. Even if we lose every game, I'll enjoy watching. With Geno at the helm, I'll still tune in but my boredom will be high. I'm hoping for Lock because he can stretch the field and also because there's at least a small chance that he can be more than he was. If he sucks through five games, I'll be rooting for him to take a step forward in game 6. I'm okay with the Hawks tanking this season. I'd rather win two games with Lock than five with Smith. I'd rather win four with Lock than seven with Smith. I'd rather have an entertaining season in which we miss the playoff with Lock than one in which we lose in round one with Smith.
I won't go further since we're getting into "never-never land" territory, though it might be worth saying that of course I'd rather win a Superbowl with Smith than not with Lock. But since the chances of winning a Superbowl with Smith are zero, who cares.
As for your challenge, I'll match it as follows. My main form of exercise is a daily walk to the mailbox which involves around 400 feet of elevation change. The walk up is a decent workout for me at age 59. I can't run because my legs won't take it and I can't lift because I tore up my shoulder some years back lifting too much.
For every Lock touchdown, I'll walk down and back up my hill. The only exception will be icy conditions, when it becomes impossible to make that walk, though I'll make up those walks after the end of the season (if not sooner).
I will up then ante: I'll ride 10 miles on my bike for every DLock TD with a bonus mile for every DK TD. I am genuinely hoping for some 50-60 mile rides!
Count me in too. I'm a few years older and haven't been training, but I'm in need of a kickstart. I'll do 5 miles for every TD pass but spread out over as many runs as I need between games (e.g., Lock throws 2 TDs and I'll do three runs that week totaling 10 miles). Perhaps by the end of the season I'll be doing them all in one go like you.
Laps for Lock!!! Let's Gooooo!!!
I hope word of this pledge continues to spread until Lock learns of it. I'm envisioning a TD celebration where Lock and DK are counting fingers and showing us how many miles we owe them.
I haven't been much of a runner the last few years, but I did run my first and only half marathon on the morning that the Hawks won the Super Bowl. Greatest Day Ever!!!
I'll do you one better: for every pick and fumble by Lock I'll have a Vodka and Seven with a beer chaser. By seasons end you will probably have run 15 miles total and I'll be going to AA meetings!
I’ll run a 5k for every Lock TD. I like a drink and need to shift some kilos for my wedding next year, so happy to use Drew as the impetus to get off my arse and onto the trails. Let’s go big fella.

Yeah, I meant to cover some of Lock's college scoring success but then didn't...you are right, could be a lot of running!

Lock's incredible story=my incredible story

If Lock takes Seahawks to the playoffs, that demands a lot of running!
I solemnly swear that I will drink one martini for every TD pass thrown by Drew Lock.
I'm holding you to it!
Two for every INT.
I'm on board with ya.I'm not 37 but at nearly 70 I pledge 30 push ups, 30 sit ups and 30 curls with 50 lbs. for each d-lock td pass on game day😋
Yes!

Hell yeah, Chuck!

LOL...Nope!
Lol! 2 25lb dumbbells is about all I can handle 😂 Let's do it!

Haha. Let's hope Lock makes us move!

P.S. not an ebike
I love it!
