If I read this correctly Trent Brown got 2 years $22 million with only 4 garunteed. I guess Trent Brown is an injury waiting to happen. Tipping the scales at close to 380lbs if his body starts to tip in an awkward fashion there is no stopping it. I can see why Seattle probably offered the same as New England but would go no further. Trent Brown is exceptionally light on his feet for his size. I believe this to be true as strength is not part of his resume. I remember his combine and he did 2 reps on the bench press. I know long arms make it much harder to do well at bench press but only 2 reps maybe he wasn't trying ? Conditioning is not at the top of his priority list. Kenneth my question is; is Duane Brown $5 million dollars better than Trent Brown, using your figure of $16 million for 1 year. Brown had a very slow start to 2021 but was back to full speed by game 8. I don't believe he was in football shape because of his extended sit in. There is just no way to get their without the pre season practise reps. There is one way but your name has to be Walter Jones. I would be perfectly happy to get Brown back for 2022. If he is considering Carolina winning isn't at the top of his list. I think Carolina is in the mix because they are the only ones to show intrest thus far. Bring back Brown and go with Jake Curhan at right tackle. If they are lucky enough to draft a right tackle who beats Curhan in training camp great. The only reason Seattle would like to move off Duane Brown is age. Pete wants and rightfully so to have a young competitive team. It seems next year we will be flush in salary cap space even after paying DK Metcalf $22 to $24 million. I have another question do you think Stone Temple Pilot Forsythe could learn how to run block over the summer. He has much more experience as a pass blocker. From Pete's comments it doesn't seem like it. Victoria Chris

The loss of Steve Hutchinson, at the time, was a big one for sure.
