We had a lot of success with this type of post in the past and before any of us suffer from total draft exhaustion a week before the main event, I want to welcome EVERYONE in the Seaside Joe Seahawks community to share who you are, where you’re from, and why you are a Seahawks fan. Where are you from?

I was born in Edmonds, raised in Bellevue, and I currently live in Los Angeles.

We have readers from all over the world. In the previous edition of this post we had someone answer that they’re from Capetown, South Africa — which was the farthest point from Seattle of all the replies we got — and if that person is still here I would love to give you the free membership that I promised you! But I never found out who that was.

Even if you feel you are repeating yourself, share where you are from and if you’ve never lived near Seattle, how did you come to be a Seahawks fan?

They are my local team.

Nothing original about my answer and that’ll probably be the norm, but many fans have come to follow the Seahawks for different reasons. It could be that you liked a certain player on the team, or the team colors/jersey (more common than you might think), or they were just on TV at the right time.

What are your draft traditions/how will you follow the draft?

The first round of the draft is my favorite football day of the year! I always shut off the outside world (except now I’ll be in the live chat!) and center my attention on ESPN or the NFL Network. I’ll be watching at home and talking with those of you who want to share the experience together.

Do you have any draft memories that stick out to you for some reason? I remember that I was at the gym when the Seahawks drafted Russell Wilson and being excited that Seattle took a quarterback but honestly not that optimistic that he would ever be more than a backup.
