How the Seahawks Could Change Before Week 1
The Seahawks get one step closer to adding controversial corner Terrion Arnold
The Seattle Seahawks have taken the next step with Terrion Arnold, hosting the cornerback for a visit on Sunday, just four days before his scheduled arraignment on eight felony charges, including kidnapping and armed robbery.
No matter what anyone thinks about Seattle’s willingness to entertain signing a player who is currently facing life in prison in the worst case scenario (which from what I read is unlikely), clearly there’s a belief by some teams in the league that Arnold won’t end up serving a lengthy prison sentence. The Seahawks are the second team to host Arnold, following the Texans.
Although two co-defendants are pointing the finger at Arnold as the one who instigated the crime, he was not allegedly not present for it and the judge has already ruled in Arnold’s favor once, saying “the state isn’t there” when prosecutors argued that he should be held in pretrial detention without bond.
But even if all charges against Arnold are dropped before the season, he faces a suspension by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. That suspension could be short, like two games, or it could be the for the entire season, or be indefinite. So even if all charges are dropped, and even if the Seahawks sign him, Terrion Arnold still might not play for Seattle in 2026.
Obviously that hasn’t stopped John Schneider and Mike Macdonald from having a more serious look at Arnold than 30 other teams.
That might not be the only change that the Seahawks consider prior to their Week 1 matchup against the New England Patriots, and as I wrote on Saturday, they’ve already made about one roster move per day since training camp started. Here are other potential changes that Seattle could make soon.
