Can Maye toss a half dozen incredible sideline dimes an inch over the CBs fingertips like Stafford? After his OL keeps him clean for 4-5 seconds to let the routes develop? Then they might score enough to lose by 4 😋

"Any given SundaY", that's what worries me. NE is the one with the boulder on their shoulder because no one thinks they can win. I believe that Big Cat and Tank want this win baaaad, and they will make sure that no one on the team is taking this game for granted. I think this team is on a mission to prove all the naysayers wrong at the beginning of the season, and even through the game last weekend. In fact, earlier this season, MM was doing a postgame press conference, and Sam was mentioned about something, and Mike said, "Sam is on a mission," and that was it. No one thought the Seahawks would win! The golden boy Rams were supposed to, dammit! That script got shredded. I hope they come out and dominate for every single minute and second of this game. C'mon, Mike, get these guys prepared and make sure MOB is on display!

Lets go Dark Side!!

So many variables to consider about the Super Bowl outcome. I can only quote Yoda when he said, " Strong with the front Fours is the Dark Side ". No, not THAT Yoda. Gary Yoda...lives near Alger I think. I got to think our big guys up front on D will cause 'point starvation' for the Patsy's...not near enough of them to survive.

Honsetly, I had more confidence in the Hawks' d-line and its ability to get pressure with four down DL--and only rare blitzing--BEFORE this latest Ram game. Rams have the cryptonite for our D, no doubt. And also no doubt the Pats will try to borrow some of that kryptonite for the SB.

I just don't know that the Pats have the OL horses to do that, though...

Total side bar...Sean Manion was hired as eagles new OC. This gives me hope Kupp might be able to Crack into coaching ASAP. I think Manion was in the league just the year before...maybe.

I have this almost weird sense of calm about this game. The Niners/Rams gauntlet to end the season and then getting them both again in the playoffs (MUST beat Rams w16; don't get trapped by Carolina w17; MUST beat Niners w18; DESTROYED the Niners in the division round; went toe to toe and beat Rams AGAIN for the conference) has just settled me down. I think I'm now approximating how the team feels: it's all about us, we stay focused and we take care of business.

Including the playoffs, Seattle's DVOA of 44.9% is now 4th all-time. Interesting to note only one g.m. has two of the top 5 DVOA's since 1978:

1. 2007 NE 52.4% (but lost to the Giants in the SB, so there are no guarantees for anyone!)

2. 1991 Redskins (oops Moons) 49.8%

3. 1985 Bears 45.8%

4. 2025 Seahawks 44.9%

5. 2013 Seahawks 43.2%

?? 2025 NE Patriots 16.5% (are 7th in 2025)

I hope that the Seahawks really lean into the 50th anniversary story. Tell the rest of the world about Seahawks’ lore. Talk about redemption too: Darnold, Kupp, and Lawrence all have stories. Then, there is redemption for 2005 and 2014. Make a potential Seahawks win a feel-good story.

Why? The Jerome Bettis story gained a life of its own. I think it influenced the media, fans, and refs. It gave people the feeling that it would be a shame if the Stealers [sic] lost.

If anything, neutral fans aren’t going to get excited about yet another NE win, especially without their famous coach/QB combo. No neutral fan would feel that it’s a shame if NE doesn’t add to its trophy collection.

Being the sentimental favorite is like being the home team. Let’s get that advantage.

Oh yeah, and let’s plan better, practice harder, and play better ball. Play well enough to win. And don’t let intangibles tilt the field against us.

BTW, does anyone outside of Pittsburgh even think about Jerome Bettis these days? If you were to ask a neutral, 25 year old fan who Jerome Bettis is, would they know? It’s so weird that such a big sentimental story would vanish overnight.

Make Super Bowl 60 all about Seahawks 50! (And redemption.)

Besides McDaniels' experience, Vrabel has been to 4 SB's as well as a few players, notably Milton Williams who will probably give us problems. Pats have more collective SB experience than us.

That being said, our team seems poised to wreak havoc on their offensive line. Drake Maye (or may not) have a bunch of designed runs in this one.

That last sentence is where Ernest Jones and "What, me (Eman )worrie) come in to play.

My gut feeling is closer to what it was going into the 49ers game (zero nerves) than what it was with the Rams game (very nervous). Therefore, my gut is telling me we’ll be fine.

Finish it off Hawks!

If I'm the patriots I'm going to try my best to play the time of possession game. I'm going to force my self to run the ball and use short passes to burn the clock and control the game, at least giving me a shot to stay in it. Looking at NGS maps of throws, Maye only had I think 2 completions beyond 5 yards in his last game and maybe 3-4 the game before that. It looks kinda obvious they don't push down field often, and when they do it's not necessarily effective. I'm willing to discount early season games and not judge teams to harshly based on those early games. Instead I like to try and see where they are currently. The patriots are beatable, we just need to stay on mission and play like a team. Begaw!

They should indeed try to take the air out of the ball but the relative weakness of their OL vs the relative strength of our DL, plus our speed at LB and safety, and Emmanwori and Spoon, means they'll have to have their best game of the year up front. Otherwise, they'll be forced to pass or forced into 3rd and long. Just a bad match-up for them to run the ball.
