“One of the most fascinating prospects in the entire draft class.”

“At 323 lbs, he shouldn't be able to uncork a hop, chop and rip move to beat a day two NFL prospect at RT.”

A defensive tackle who can “spin move with a hurdle” on offense.

Travis Hunter isn’t the only two-way player in the 2025 draft class and the other guy will be available when the Seahawks pick. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this designation on sports-reference before:

Position: TE/DT

At Seaside Joe, we’ve been talking about the Seahawks using a fullback since the playoffs and then Seattle hired Klint Kubiak, who confirmed that his offense will continue to employ a fullback as it always has. It’s not that the Seahawks will have a hard time finding someone to play the least-used position in the NFL, but it would be a bonus if that player had another role.

J.J. Pegues might be said player who would have roles on both sides of the ball.

Though there will be some hesitation to draft Pegues early because he may never have a full-time role on a defensive line due to his unusual athletic profile and poor acceleration as a pass rusher, there might be a bit of “Jarran Reed” to him. The timing couldn’t be more perfect because Reed is a free agent and he turns 33 in December.

Could Pegues be an ideal day 2 target for the Seahawks and end up playing for both Mike Macdonald and Kubiak?
