Loved the LOVE breakdown. I didn't really appreciate Woolen's INT during the broadcast--all you see is Nix throwing into what looks like 3x coverage. But Woolen set that up, and undercut the route, from across the field. Beautiful!
I have posted this one once already but it is too good not to post it again here. It is absolutely hilarious...
Just came here after reading the 1st paragraph to say that I will watch Marshawn Lynch in most anything, especially if it's about the 'Hawks. He was great in Murderville on Netflix, btw. Gonna be checking out his new podcast.
Had to go right into the imbedded video of it... I am 7mins in, and LOVING IT! I just wish they didn't censor Marshawn's colorful language. It is natural and authentic for him, it's a part of life, let it ride, man.
Oh my god. I thought this would be good. It’s great. Love the little stories that are told. Listening to them talk about Lynch’s first words to Robinson after the beastquake run had me laughing out loud. Same with story of RB coach Sherman Smith in the RB room.
I'm interested in Seaside Joe's Seahawks' reading, watching, and listening diet. What are your weekly must-consumes during the season? I have a hard time keeping up with everything myself. I will say, that this newsletter is part of my lean Seahawks content diet throughout the season.
Weekly NFL content is like the Cheesecake Factory menu these days; too many options! But frankly I find most of it boring. How many shows posted an episode on Monday that titled something about the Dak Prescott contract and the Tyreek Hill arrest? They're all talking about the same shit, same opinions, different podcast title!
So the film analysis side is probably way more interesting these days. I watch QB School, The GM Shuffle (but even that's been too unoriginal lately), I think Chris Long has interesting opinions and he seems to really like the Seahawks, I am so curious to hear what Bill Belichick shares on his show, and of course All_22 and The Coordinator Project whenever they put out new work.
I like your writing, and sometimes I love the rabbit holes you go down, in fact, more rabbit holes would be nice, but I love this article at least as much. I love the philosophy behind it and I certainly hope everyone here adhere at least a little in the direction you are pointing us. Thanks. You get a heart from me. Now, I have to get the time to actually watch as much of this as possible.
Sorry this is not a defense related question but I noted Cross’ high ratings and solid reviews. Could the Hawks base their off tackle run schemes to the left side to take advantage of Cross’ run blocking?
The march through our Division starts in Week 6. We will have a polished A Game by then, to include our guys unified and invested. That is what I saw in the second half. There will be no cruising under MacDonald. 12 as 1. Other than a site I used to follow the Lions live last year, the only sites I follow are ones I learned here. It is no surprise to see the YouTube robots steering any and all yokels for our viewing pleasure. It's exploding.
How the Seahawks evolve offensively and defensively throughout the season will be very interesting. We devolved on defense last year (decent start, horrible finish), and eventually evolved on offense (shaky start, stronger finish). I'm sure we'll have up games and down games, but wouldn't it be refreshing if overall the group just got tighter and tighter as the year went on.
Patriots won't beat themselves, but I think we should win if we don't beat ourselves......as we tried to do in the first half on Sunday. The schedule gives us a couple of games to work the major kinks out, get a lot of snaps on film, and learn from mistakes. Hopefully we do all that and still win, but it's the NFL, so you never know.
Miami will be really interesting. I'd be willing to bet that we're saving some defensive bullets for the Dolphins and Lions, as MacDonald won't want to show any more than he has to in the first two games. Plus, the players need to get good at running the basic stuff before he starts bringing out the wrinkles.
It's going to be a fun season, regardless of our record. If we end up winning, all's the better.
This year, the Coaching responded and so did the Team. I like your optimism. The Team has earned it. I see this week as the end of Training Day, moving us into Preparation Day. How fast can they do it? We'll see...

Thanks for sharing, it is indeed hilarious 😂
The announcer saying, "oh no!" is my favorite part.

Uncensored version is on Spotify, I read

Highly entertaining.
I am so mad that Murderville wasn't picked up for a 2nd season. That was the most I had enjoyed a TV comedy in ages.

Thanks, Kevin!

What happens when you cross Seaside Streams?!
You get slimed? Stay Puft Marshmallow Man goes fluff?
Multiple Ghostbusters references from 2 different dudes on one post? Yes, please.
"Bailiff! Whack his pee-pee!"
Who knew run blocking could be so complicated? I thought you just pushed the other guys out of the way.

Love these breakdowns, and that you find us this great content.
