Per a post on X, Jalen will play the whole game tomorrow. Per MM.

I heard Liev Schrieber's voice in my head reading that last sentence. Make it so.

Did JS ever do this many large contracts before?

Leo has elevated himself to be my favorite Seahawk on both a playing level and on a personal level. He is an absolute unstoppable force for the most part and he makes everybody around him better. This team is graced with a lot of adults, but he's taking it to a very high level. A little reminder that sometimes if you put good things out there good things come back.

IMHO, Leo is one of the greatest Seahawks ever - and what a steal by JS originally!

Leo is such a great influence in the clubhouse - he is all about ball, letting his performance and his attitude speak for themselves, and lets his agent deal with contract issues!

When someone like Big Cat speaks, everyone on the team listens.

Watching how he deals with being “Big Brother” to Derrick Hall on Hard Knocks is both instructive heart warming (with a dose of tough love) to watch.

The single most important reason that MM’s defense works is that Leo, Murphy, Reed, D Law and Nwosu create havoc rushing 4 and playing nickel and dime defense.

There is no more important player than Leo in that equation!

All I can say is HOORAY!!!

As Danno says so well below, this could be the beginning of a run like Chiefs or even better!

Nice way to celebrate the takeover getting voted through at the Owners Meeting. If we keep seeing growth from Morris, Mills, Pili and even Suemalo our interior isn't just scary, once you remember Murphy is around, it's potentially generational!

Who needs edge rushers when you can just bully the middle of the line, then drop off to coverage for an INT.

If they find a way to extend Darnold, Murphy and Barner next year, we could be looking at making a run similar to what the Chiefs did only better. Year after next extend Zabel, Emmanwori, Arroyo and Lucas.

Does anyone else feel pretty good about the new owners? Being football fans is good. Fans want to win. My one concern is the son wants to be involved. He could start forcing JS’s hand on football decisions. But perhaps the dad would be keeping an eye on his involvement. Hopefully he takes his time and considers the first few years as an apprenticeship under Schneider to learn how JS works to build a strong winning team.

Hey Danno,

Yes, I love the new owners, because they want to win (Vinod is relentless in pursuit of wins in the VC space, and spends fearlessly to find and create wins).

But like you, my one worry is the son, Neal…he is wicked smart, and hopefully he will work to leverage technology to support what JS and MM already do, but without putting his thumb on the scale of football decisions…but that is my one “watch out” I will be paying close attention to…(not that I can do anything other than wring my hands if he does 😳)

There would be a whole bunch of 12s negative feedback if he started to impose on JS or MM

One of the greatest JS heists, and there’s a good list: Lynch, Diggs, Duane Brown, to name a few (Richardson didn’t ignite).

Also, am I the only nerd who hears the Hard Knocks theme music and immediately thinks of, “The Rains of Castermere?” Don’t leave me hanging here, people!

Woo hoo!!! Now we're talkin'. Big Cat might be as valuable as anyone on defense. Seems like a great teammate too.
