Welcome to the ongoing saga of me trying to be prepared for the 2022 NFL Draft. The college season is now five weeks in and I’m starting to get a grip on what matters to me and how it might be best to organize these thoughts for you. You probably noticed that the last “Notes” article was actually in some order and now today I present to you various Player of the Week awards — also in some order!
I don’t think winning awards = NFL success but right now I’m just in the “discovery mode” process and my goal is to learn names. And not just “Bumper Pool” or “Smoke Monday” but also various names of potential NFL prospects. If you show up on the radar in college football, I guarantee that you will show up on the radar of NFL scouts.
It’s just that sometimes those scouts go, “Let’s ignore that blip there.”
If you think these reports are at all interesting, useful, that somebody you know might like it, please do consider subscribing and sharing. I never mention that in these articles, and I’m making it a special point to do so now in the hopes that maybe one or two more people will come see what’s happening here.

He broke 15 tackles on the ground and turned four of his 14 rush attempts into a 20-plus-yard gain. Whether it was a scramble run (12.2 yards per carry) or designed (9.3 yards per carry), Willis’ athleticism was too much for UAB.”
Aidan Hutchinson note: “Hutchinson won on 26.3% of his pass-rush reps and produced a positive grade against the run on over a quarter of his snaps in run defense. He may not have notched a sack, but he played a part in several of the six sacks Michigan notched on the day.”
