Sam Darnold's contract projection (and why it's not that scary)

If the Seahawks extend Darnold in 2027, this is how much it will cost them

The Seahawks have a firm policy to not negotiate with players who have multiple years left on their contracts, which is a great thing for John Schneider to continuously remind people of so they don’t bother to knock on his door asking for “more” like some millionaire Oliver Twist.

ESPN’s Brady Henderson has confirmed that despite winning the Super Bowl as a bargain quarterback, Sam Darnold won’t be extended in 2026 and that Schneider’s only answer to the question was, “Sam signed a three-year deal”.
