If Carter or Anderson are blue chip game wreckers then they are absolutely a need. Otherwise center, guard and WR.

Yes, totally. I can imagine the Hawks taking another RB, possibly as early as day two. Can never have too many of those guys.

It’s hard to escape the feeling that the Hawks have a lot of good players and not enough great ones. On defense, they could upgrade just about everywhere except RCB, and none of the DEs and DTs will give an OC insomnia. On offense, there’s an acute need for a #3 receiver who excels in the slot.

I agree. If I could overload one area of the team with young talent it would be D-line/edge-OLB. We've got a lot of good role players, but only Nwosu stands out as being consistently good-ish at everything.

Needs.

-If Nwosu is our Nick Bosa then we need a complimentary force collapsing the pocket from the middle which would be satisfied by a Carter or Breese selection with Tuli Tuipulotu, Gervon Dexter, and Brandon Dorlus are next in line.

-We don't have a YAC receiver and I think Eskridge is a write-off. We also need to establish a successor to Lockett. There are several small, quick slot recievers of note in this years draft including, Jordan Addison, Rashee Rice, Jackson Smith-Njigba, and Josh Downs. I believe Quentin Johnson is the only top ten worthy receiver although Addison has his believers. Cedric Tillman and Xavier Hutchinson are bigger receivers that could be great values on day 2.

-Both of our middle linebackers are poor in coverage. The coverage issue might be fixed by drafting Justin Flowe of Oregon or maybe we replace Barton with Jamal Adams and play Adams, Diggs, and Neal together. According to OTC, Barton is firmly in the proper-value/low-ependiture quadrant. He's a decent pro but doesn't have much impact on a game. If we can cover the middle underneath zone we'll get off the field a lot more often.

We will likely let DJ Dallas go when the time comes. I love his attitude, but Homer seems more of a baller to me. Keep Homer and draft a RB in the 4th or 5th. My plan last year was to target Dameon Pierce. I'm even happier we got K9, but there are more Dameon Pierce's out there. We could use a fourth down back.

I like Dallas. All he seems to do is perform when given a chance.

Has Artie Burns played a defensive snap this season. I am serious I don't remember if he did. If Trey Brown can comeback in form this would be more than a luxury.

I have waited what seemed to be an eternity to broach this subject. The best available quarterback counting all college players or possible free agents IS NATHAN ROURKE. Nathan Rourke is a fellow Canadian and is a pro playing for the BC Lions. He is a product of Ohio University, his brother is the QB there right now. Rourke is a tough strong runner and completed 78.6% of all his passes. In case you think I am blowing smoke 22 NFL teams have requested he workout for them. Rourke ran the ball 34 times for 307 yards and 7 touchdowns. He threw for close to 3500 yards in 10 games and 25 TDs. Rourke stands 6ft 2 and tips the scales at 215 lbs. The only thing i can see is he needs to gain 10 lbs of muscle. Sign Geno and Lock and Rourke could learn the offense. Next year there will be a rule change where they will allow a 3rd Qb that won't count against the 46 players because of what happened to Tua. One final.point Rourke is from my hometown Victoria Bc. I am 70 miles from Lumen field as the Seahawk flies. P and J need to make sure his first visit is to us and he never leaves the building.

We had top 5 special teams by DVOA in the weeks Homer was healthy, and bottom 10 in the other weeks. He's a priority signing.

Yup. Homer is one of those heart-and-soul of the team players. Dallas is there too although not as effective on special teams. I have no problem with Dallas spelling K9 or stepping in case of injruy. All he seems to do is produce.

The blocked punt problem went away as soon as Homer came back.

I didn't know these numbers but I felt Homer is special (in special teams) ☺️

He is also a good pass catcher

Yes, he's a great 3rd down back. He's a mean blocker, and he has huge hands. If we're not bringing Penny back, the huge downside to K9 is his blocking, so Homer becomes necessary.

By the way (of course, way smaller sample sizes, and in very different game circumstances, but) his per snap stats are almost equal to (actually slightly better than) Christian McCaffrey.

Homer seems to have believed the sidestep or deke is an over flamboyant move. Don't misunderstand me every team needs players like him. He goes full tilt running the ball or making tackles on special teams. I think DJ is more suited to the role of starter if we. A couple years back he had to do it as a rookie and scored three times in two games.

Who is the best K coming out of college this season? Spend a pick on that guy and cut Myers.

Let's see how the 2nd half of the season goes but the Seahawks definitely need another stud on the DL and LB/End, and a WR who is capable of developing into WR1.

Harrison Mevis, Missouri and Jake Moody, Michigan are the top rated place kickers. Most kickers aren't drafted until late rounds or not at all. Place kicking in the NFL is all about consistency, especially consistent mechanics. Guys who can consistently perform under pressure aren't a dime-a-dozen and it may be penny-wise but pound-foolish to cut Myers.

Here's an interesting read about hiring a kicker.

Schneider has never drafted a place kicker.

For the Hawks, Myers is 12-16 from 50+; league average is in the low 60s. Overall, he’s a plus kicker who makes a middle-of-the-pack salary. I’m not in any hurry to move on; if they do for salary reasons, let’s hope they come up with better alternatives than the replacements for Hauschka (Blair Walsh and C-Bass).

Cutting Myers may be necessary due to cap, but he's the best kicker of 2022. He's faring even better than Justin Tucker.

That's the thing with kickers though--last year he was not very good. The question is can we get someone who is good at a much lower price?

... a bunch of teams, or all of the other teams, could have had DK Metcalf.

Will take what we got. Point is taken but drafting is partially luck with injuries as a wildcard.
