I think Noah Fant is a possible trade or cut target before the start of the season if Gindorff makes a push to be added to the 53. There is going to be a decrease in TE targets this year with some going to JSN and some to the RBs, and maybe to Eskridge if he makes it. Uncle Will would not have much of a trade market but Fant might to a team that needs a receiving TE.
Not that I’m the GM, but I’m in no hurry to move on from Fant. Fant, John Carlson, and Jimmy Graham are the only TEs in history of the franchise with 50+ receptions in a season. Also, Geno needs weapons—the more there are, the better he will be, and Fant is a better weapon than Dissly even if targets decrease. If it comes to a cut, the team is much better off with Fant and Parkinson than Dissly and Parkinson.
OTOH (On The Other Hand), We kept LJ Collier on the team for four years. We paid him increasing amounts of money for four years with little to show for it that an UDFA wouldn't have done better. But we had to keep him, basically.
This is the depressing part of the business, but what it comes down to is that everyone is playing for a paycheck or to be the best version of themselves that they can be. Good luck, gentlemen.
Why would you cut Lockett, one of the Hawks best receivers, to save a measly 7 mill cap hit? Especially since it took them 4 years to find a good third receiver !
I would be totally crushed if they traded or cut Lokett. He is my favorite Seahawk player and has been since Cam Chancellor had to medically retiree. Chancellor was freaking awesome. I also believe that not having Lockett with him in Denver last year was part of why Russ' struggled. Lockett was such a great safety valve for him and almost always got open..

His contract was guaranteed as a 1st round pick. No value added by cutting him unless player 54 would be better on a minimum contract.

I assume you mean JSN? I'm sure your right but he actually hasn't shown anything yet. The search could be still in progress.
