Seahawks 2025 comp pick projection
Seahawks get 3 extra 2025 draft picks, per OTC's projections
The Seahawks will have additional picks in rounds 4, 5, and 6, according to the final projections by OvertheCap. These are only projections, not official, but compensatory draft picks — which are handed out based on free agent gains/losses — are based on a formula and OTC has been very good at figuring out that algorithm over the years.
Seattle will be getting these picks for the losses of Damien Lewis, Jordyn Brooks, and Bobby Wagner in 2024:
Seahawks 2025 draft picks
We won’t know exactly where all of Seattle’s picks are this year — not until all of the compensatory picks are announced — but we do know that the Seahawks have picks 18, 50, and 83 because there won’t be any movement until the end of the third round. The only teams still left in the dark are the four remaining in the playoffs.
The Seahawks will get the following draft picks, including PROJECTED comp picks:
1.18
2.50
3.83
4th round (traded for Ernest Jones)
4th round comp (Lewis, projected)
5th round (traded for Leonard Williams)
5th round comp (Brooks, projected)
6th round (traded for Trevis Gipson)
6th round (from Bears, for Darrell Taylor)
6th round comp (Wagner, projected)
7th round (~240)
Leslie Frazier question
Some may be wondering if Frazier, who is interviewing for the Dallas Cowboys head coaching job, would qualify in the minority hiring incentive program and the answer is no. Coaches or executives who are promoted to head coach or general manager jobs must be employed by their previous team for at least two years in order for the team they’re leaving to qualify for two third round comp picks.
This is why the Bucs did not get comp picks when Dave Canales was hired by the Panthers last year, as he had only been TB’s OC for one.
Why trade a 4th for Ernest Jones?
If Jones signs with another team in free agency, there’s a good chance that Seattle will get a fourth round compensatory pick in 2026 unless that signing is offset by a similar-priced free agent addition.
For example, the Ravens are projected to get a fourth round comp pick for losing Patrick Queen to the Steelers. Queen signed a deal worth $13.67 million per season, which could be even less than what Jones gets in free agency. Jones might even bring back a third round comp pick.

It is 8 draft picks, not 7. I forgot to add a 6th round draft pick received for Darrell Taylor.
OTC rarely makes errors on these comp pick projections. I think they had one last year because of the wording of one player's specific contract, and they admitted the error. They are a really good resource for all things FA and salary cap.
