Seahawks 2026 mock draft

What positions do the Seahawks want to target in the draft next year?

The Seattle Seahawks won’t have a high draft pick in 2026, but they will have the luxury of truly targeting the best players available because they shouldn’t have any significant and immediate needs. That does not mean that Seattle won’t be able to use their rookies immediately, as Nick Emmanwori has proven to be the ideal combination of upside and Week 1 fit for a defense that doesn’t have to say they “need” him but coaches certainly want him in the lineup.

The Seahawks will have openings for starting and starting-adjacent roles, including at guard, receiver, edge rusher, cornerback, and potentially at running back if Kenneth Walker III leaves in free agency.

But between free agency and internal upgrades, Seattle’s not going to see the 2026 draft as the be-all, end-all for reaching the Super Bowl next year—because they’re returning most of the same players who have set their sights on a Super Bowl this year.

This is a rare morning bonus Seaside Joe. The “5 most important players” Seahawks-Falcons preview will be free and drop later on Saturday. I just had a hankering to address the 2026 draft today so for Regular Joes and Super Joes subscribers, we’re going to go over some options and positions that would make sense for Seattle to target next year with a mock draft.

As always, I will be using SAM TEETS as a resource for draft information. Sam has teased that he’s about to do a bunch of Seahawks mock drafts (he gave a Seaside Joe a shout out here) so subscribe to his newsletter if the draft is of any interest to you! Here’s a mock draft he did last week. Sam drops prospect information pretty much as often as I write a Seahawks newsletter.

I’ll also repost Sam’s Seahawks mocks draft here when they come out.

I actually don’t know that much about the 2026 draft class yet, so these mocks won’t be a masterclass on who the top prospects are going to be. It’s an opportunity for us to find out who they will be together. This is a stab at a 7-round Seahawks mock draft, but really it’s more of a learning opportunity and a thought experiment of what John Schneider might want to do.

If you already have a list of prospects you want Seattle to target, share them in the comments. Please!

Here we go, starting with….more defense:
