Okay, the rules are I have to pick at 32, 64 and 96. I will follow the rules but first let me say there is abundant talent in the top 40 rank to allow for a trade back to the low 40’s and get another pick, and that is my wish. But, with the rules at 32 I would take one of the Edge rushers. First choice is Howell. Despite his short arms provides a violent rush on QB. Not great against the run but he plays in year one as a third down rusher as a minimum. Second Edge choice is Zion Young. He has pass rush skills and can defend the run. In year one he would be in the rotation on any down.

My first thought given the list of options was to trade down then pick one of the top three CB’s. They are all 6’0” and weigh in the 190’s, some are best in zone, some lack run stopping instincts. But I think the best value is Daylen Everette from Georgia. Good zone coverage, a bit grabby in man coverage, needs work. And is aggressive against the run. Starts on special teams and works into starter year 2. He will be available at pick 96.

Which leave pick 64 for running back.

My choice is Price from Notre Dame and he is my wish list to add to the choices. Baring that, I’ll toss a coin and go with Coleman from Washington he doesn’t fumble.

That’s it, played by the rules.

Lots of rumors starting or floating around today, but this time it’s not Crosby. It’s Miles Garrett, Dexter Lawrence and Kayvon Thibodeaux. Dan Viens posted a video claiming a Seahawk source stating the Hawks made inquiries of Cleveland and the Giants. I imagine we’d have to give up all three picks on day one and two to get Garrett. He is an alien. Issue with Thibideaux is I think this is the last year of his contract? If we can’t re sign him it becomes an expensive rental. Lawrence wants a new contract, and he’d have to wait a year to get one in Seattle. Does that cause problems?

Thibideaux seems the easiest to fit in, but not the biggest upside.
