One thing that I have noticed with all the mocks & playing with the simulators, is that this draft seems to play out very favorable for Seattle. There are multiple positions of need that match value at just about every selection for the Hawks. I think they can get just about everything they want & need in this draft if they stay put.

So if I read between the lines, you're saying we should draft Richardson at #5, then convert him to a TE/Edge combo that plays both ways and never leaves the field. His NFL journey will be fascinating to watch. He could be an NFL cheat code at QB, or he could be a large Taysom Hill (which would still be good, just not at #5). I look forward to drafting him in fantasy football in a couple years.

I'm sorry if people are tired of hearing from me, but I just read a statement by Steve Sarkisian about Bijan Robinson, who said Bijan had the best hands on the team, and he could easily be a top prospect as a slot WR in this draft, and that teams would not be disappointed if they used Bijan as a WR. That the NFL was a better environment for Bijan's skill set than college was.

No one has ever shied away from drafting a WR near the top of the draft, so why worry about drafting a RB in the top of the draft, if that RB has all the skills necessary to play WR full time? When it comes time to Franchise TAG him, it will be much cheaper because he is a RB rather than a WR.

Sorta like WR Deebo Samuel being used a lot as a RB but opposite.

A good agent will not let that happen. But yeah, I think Bijan is the surest guy on the draft.

I posted this in an old thread, but want some feedback, so I copy paste here:

Hey, Joe, what about Zach Kuntz (I'll save my jokes for later, I don't want to be the first to break the ice) ??? Athletic freak. Potential is off the charts. Anyone else look at him? TE.

HEIGHT: 6-7 (93%*) WEIGHT: 255 (54%*)

HANDS: 10 1/4 (70%*) ARM: 34 (74%*) SPAN: 83 1/8 (97%*)

FORTY: 4.55 (C) (93%*) SHUTTLE: 4.12 (C) (94%*) TEN YARD: 1.57 (C) (88%*)

VERTICAL: 40 (C) (99%*) BROAD: 128 (C) (98%*)

THREE CONE: 6.87 (C) (92%*) BENCH: 23 (C) (74%*)

Crazy numbers. Compare to Colby Parkinson:

Height 6' 7" 95

Weight 252 lbs 48

Arm Length 33¼" 59

Hand Size 9⅝" 34

40 Yard Dash 4.77s 50

Vertical Jump 32½" 42

Broad Jump 109" 14

3-Cone Drill 7.15s 51

20 Yard Shuttle 4.46s 31

Bench Press 18 reps 31

Sorry I couldn't use the same format. Zach Kuntz is a physical freak with scary potential.

Major knock on Kuntz, he only started 15 games in college. Major upside to those 15 games, his numbers in those games are really really good. Another amazing athlete, with some highlight plays. However his consistency and actual technical skill level is raw. I'd pick him with one of our two 5th Rd's knowing we can stash him for a year and round out that skill set. However another team will grab him on Day 2 i expect. - It's such a good year for TE's, so so so good. I'll be kind of upset if we don't take one of them..

Yes, without knocks he would be going in the top ten. Last year Woolen dropped way farther than anyone would have guessed, so fifth round he might be there. I brought him up because of the traits thing.

With NT being a primary need for the Hawks. Making being more or less the top NT option in this draft and slotted anywhere from 20-40. Any chance you have time to do a write up on him as your brain is constantly searching for new positive ways to cover the upcoming draft. He seems like one of those guys that would just make us better. Cost wise at bottom of first, start of 2nd round could also be great value over bringing back old vets to fill in the spot.

what a fun/interesting way to look at this. Clearly this is not a mock draft to take serious enough to argue over - I did enjoy dropping Bijan Robinson at #5 on another draft blog, simply to stir the shitake...

BTW - Of everyone in this draft, he IS the most likely to have an impacting rookie season. If he is around at 20, there just simply is not enough reasons to pass. Why? 1) Because of his top of the draft talent 2) Because he will be better than all but 3 or 4 RBs in the league by game one 3) Because RBs get injured - Kenneth Walker III is likely to miss games 4) Because stirring the shitake can be fun!

Traits are cool. Traits. Love Traits. I know I need to love film more than traits, but traits are nice and fast to find, compare, and decide. Traits are scientific. Science, man. And Traits can be found in any size. If we use cutoff points or get caught up in titles then Kancey is a phenom because he tests in the DT group, but Ade Ade didn't break any records in the EDGE group, but if he was 6 pounds heavier and was called a DT he would be the freakiest freak in the freaking world.

Great article with plenty to think about. DJ Turner is my go to backup if we miss out on Witherspoon.

Nickel Cornerback options include Witherspoon, DJ Turner, Donte Banks, or if all else fails there is a guy named Starling Thomas V and he has traits, man, and he might go undrafted, too.

Interesting concept and it is a bit surprising and/or disheartening not to see a RB with the right traits make it onto the board. But hey! Maybe Richardson could be used that way in his first season :D.

There are only 3 draft prospects in NFL history that were 6-4, ran a sub 4.4 40 and jumped 41” in the vertical. Two are Seahawks stars DK Metcalf and Tariq Woolen. The third is Bryce Ford-Wheaton. Pencil him in as an early Day 3 pick.

With Mazi being on Feldmans freak list I kind of expected to see him listed in your 20 or 37 pick. n Some reports say he benched 350 (not 250) 20 times lol Overall it would be far and away the most athletic class we could muster up.
