How realistic is it for AZ to take Bijan at #4? I think with Murray as your QB you need a really good run game and from what it appears he would provide that. This could also just be me trying to convince myself that Andersen will be available at 5...

BTW - I clicked on a teaser headline from an SB Nation, Arizona Cardinals blogger 'LaMarr Jackson to NFC West' - This cat was saying to the 49'ers. Like if the dude will not take anything but a Fully Guaranteed $230M from the Ravens, why would he only accept a contract the Niner's could afford? - I was taken by friggin click-bate - I know better and I pledge to not get taken by bogus reporting.

and DANG, San Francisco Did sign the Eagles' stud DT, Javon Hargrave. F - - -!

Even in the Off-season, there is a WAR with this Niner's.

Dre'Mont Jones bringing along late 2nd/3rd-round draft pick Mazi Smith...twins pillars of doom at the DE's + Al Woods...Boye Mafe and Uchenna Nwosu at the Edge. This sounds Legit. Add in another Speed rusher to go with Darrel Taylor plus the usual affordable DT rotation...Now for some serious Off-ball LB's.

I see no reason for you to compare yourself to others in writing on the Seahawks. You are you and they are them. Let them be the way they are and realize that being you is enough. There is no need to try and sell this stuff man. It is going to come to you.

Woohoo, Dre'Mont Jones! This might shake things up in the draft.

Hi KenJoe. Just wanted to express my appreciation for your work. As someone below said, "If I could only get Seahawks news from one source, this would be the one." I am a happy paid subscriber; your content is outstanding and your community (commenters) rocks! You post daily and I read daily. I am coming up on one year as a subscriber and I will be happily renewing. Hands-down the best Hawks commentary on the interweb! Keep up the great work!

That's why I see Calijah Kancey as pick #20. Assuming Wes Anderson is not still there, they might take Jalen. who's a strong DL . But Hoping for Wes Anderson, followed by Calijah and then Mazzi Smith as first pick in round 2.

I see the Hawks taking Wes Anderson at #5 and Calijah Kensey at #20. Both help the. DL>

It’s interesting to see “experts” talk about what their sources are telling them in regards to which players a team “likes”.

This is the time of year GMs and coaches lie repeatedly. Why anyone expects them to be telling the truth just prior to the draft is beyond me.

My take on these “inside sources” is they’re either non-existent, or a team is using them as a smoke screen.

I much prefer to get info from SS Joe, because it’s focused on process and how the Hawks, under PCJS have done things in the past. It’s relevant, and more likely than not, correct.

Keep up the GREAT work!

Only thing bummed me out this year is what you wrote about Grayson McCall. Now I am so intrigued and have to wait another year. 🤔😂

Buy Kenneth's news letter. Kenneth CW is based on carefully studying the history of one of the most winning GM/ Head Coach tandems in the NFL. Kenneth explains his reasoning. Kenneth does double down on his opinions but instead looks for reasons he might be wrong. In Vegas if you can be right about 70% then you are a professional handicapper. If other opinion writers were held to those numbers they would be broke. Kenneth would have long term employment. In the end, I read Kenneth not because he is right but because he gives me insight as to how my favorite team selects the players I pull for on Sunday.

If I could only get Seahawks news from one source, this would be the one. I really appreciate the looks into PC/JS's history that you do, because past behavior is the most accurate predictor of future behavior. And I'm bad to think "this is what we need to do," or "This is what NFL teams do," instead of, "This is what John and Pete historically do." You nailed that we would resign Q Diggs (even though I hoped we wouldn't), Metcalf's contract to the penny, and got very close on Geno's deal.

And I don't always agree with you. There's one statement in this very article I disagree with you on. I wouldn't say I'll go to my grave believing that we wanted to sign DeShaun Watson, but I believe the organization wanted to and badly. I'll never forget the preseason presser. Pete came out hyped up almost sounding like someone on coke talking about 2nd chances. Here it is cued up: https://youtu.be/nvxXqb1eHbs?t=209 From the 3:30 mark where I started to about the 9:30 mark, he must say 2nd chances and how much everyone deserves them 100 times. The biggest story on March 16th of last year was all the Watson accusers coming out of the woodwork. I think I said "oh shit" every time Pete said "2nd chances" when I watched that live. I believe that the Browns rescued us from taking on a player I'm not sure is good anymore and is a PR nightmare by that ridiculous contract. But I'm willing to accept that I don't know, and maybe Pete didn't mean that at all. But it sure sounded like someone bracing a fanbase for news a lot of us didn't want to hear.

I didn't know rivalries among reporters/bloggers was a thing with the actual reporters and bloggers. I thought that was all just fans of said reporters and bloggers getting mad at the other one when their guy is called out. But I saw one named above get angry on Twitter over one of your articles and reply "You're better than that," so there's at least some sensitivity there.

But most of the time I disagree with you, it's because it's not what *I* want to hear. I don't want to hear about 3rd wave iOL replacement level players. I want a great O line, and we already have young bookends. Did Pete and John not watch the playoffs? They cost such little draft capital compared to their likelihood of becoming a quality starter. I don't want to hear about bargain bin free agent D linemen. Rookies at DI and DE almost always take time to develop and we're bad there NOW. My thoughts on how to build a championship team don't align with the history of the guys who run the team and it can be very frustrating. Though I'm aware they know much, much more than I do about building a football team. I just wish someone would explain it.

Self awareness - that is what separates Seaside Joe from nigh on every other sports blog/journalist i've ever read.

This includes the willingness to call yourself out for mistakes. The willingness to engage with counter views (provided that person is giving you a legit explanation and reasoning, and not just being a d*ck or stubborn for the sake of it). The willingness to have some goodamn fun with yourself! This one being essential in my eyes, when else did you see a sports blog openly quote movies and base an article on a dumb twitter meme-beef? Makes daily reading super easy, and makes the in-depth and serious posts stand out all the more. Plus a range of other positive reasons that all blend into a high quality enjoyable and insightfull product.

Keep it up! And keep it up in the comments guys! Most of you offer some really genuine and interesting views, and the majority of comments are adding something to the conversation. You do not see that overall posivity and range of viewpoints being supported and thrive elsewhere. Kenneth might be the Joe, but we're the cream that makes the coffee extra special. (This is why i'm not a paid writer, my metaphors are a damn mess :P)

Joe, I subscribed to your blog because I find it refreshing. I hate click bait columnists who waste my time simply repeating some wild speculation made by someone else, especially when the misleading headline is almost as long as the article.

You report what you think and why you think it. You do your own research. Also, your commenters are mostly good, thoughtful thinkers themselves. Your blog may be taking longer to grow than you like, but the people who take the time to read your blog and the comments are going to stay loyal. Thank you for condensing the time it takes me to stay properly informed. I sincerely hope you stay with it long enough to get the subscribers to make it financially viable for you to continue indefinitely.
