These kinds of games are always weird. Big early lead and then you're sort of just hanging on as the momentum shifts. But these Hawks didn't really do that. They kept bringing it. The defense rose to the occasion time and again. The offense kept adding points. JSN is otherworldly. Happy to see him for a play in the second half. Did we have 3 running backs who made over 60 yards?
I haven't been to a Hawks game in years, but I got a last minute invite to the game. I usually prefer to watch the games on tv so I can deep dive each play, but man, this was a fun game to be at! We were in our seats before kick off and it seemed like 5 minutes later we were up 28-0.
The crowd was loud, even late in the game. Nice weather, good crowd, solid day to go.
The defense was amazing, and the offense did what was necessary after a big lead.
Really looking forward to next weeks game to decide who are the real Kings of the West.
I love that we have our own tush push play that works. The Barnyard is good for a yard just about every time. Secondary depth is getting thin but Woolen seemed like a changed player today. Ty Okada went from abysmal in the first game vs the 49ers to laying wood. The passes defended were coming every play. 200 yards rushing and only 10 pass attempts all game because we were up so big.
The Seattle Seahawks are becoming the big, bad bully on the block. Hopefully we can stay healthy and get some guys back. That’s a big ask but if it happens, this team is a Super Bowl favorite.
The only negative I saw is that when the Cards went no huddle/ hurry up we did not respond to it well. Could this be our opponents offensive scheme, to keep MM from substituting in our optimal defense?
After the 1st fumble the other center exchanges were fine and Olu looked good run blocking. I was impressed by how well our 2nd teamers played. There didn't seem to be any fall off from the starters! 7 and 2 with a very young team bodes well for the future!
The bad news.both of Darnold 's
fumbles came from pressure from the right side...Anthony Bradford's side!
Honestly not feeling too bad about the turnovers. Operational mainly as opposed to bad decisions, though it’s fair to say pocket awareness from Sam could grow a bit. Helmet bonks happen, one was on Olu, and the other was either AB or Lucas getting a bit bulldozed.
I believe the other one was Barner getting bulldozed and the pass glanced off the side of his helmet. He was bulldozed from the right side, same side as AB/Lucas.
The defense was lights out. Knight really stepped up, Thomas was all over the field, Emmanwori showed some pass defense chops with 4 pass defenses, Woolen was solid and those goal line stands were amazing.
Loved that we got the running game going. Every running back was over 4 yards per carry and we had 46 freaking rushing attempts compared to 12 passing attempts.
Shout out to Jason Myers who now leads the franchise for field goals made.
The miserable fumbles that happened so close to the Cardinals goal line were unfortunate, but trying to get some yardage from that place has to make every QB nervous with all the risks that exist for the opposing team to score on the slightest mistake. Just glad our defense played so well today.
They aren’t the first team to get sloppy with a big lead, plus there was some tough luck involved. The upside is that this is a young team that will listen to the coaches and veterans, meaning that nothing happened today that it can’t clean up.
What I’d like to see happen is an actual shutout along the lines of the link below. Once a good team gets a sense of how good a shutout feels, lapses in concentration on offense and defense tend to evaporate.
Amazing they actually stated about a few of Seattle's injuries in this game . I was actually disappointed by some of their play in the second half! One thing it looked and seemed as if Olu was doing a better job in run blocking then Sundell. The Hawks have quite a few injuries and I can't understand why with all the players injured and some even put on IR that it isn't talked about on their broadcasts!
I'm good with the Nation being focused elsewhere. Let them believe we can't be all that great since they haven't heard of us. Welcome to controlled narratives.
Nearly every team is dealing with injuries to key players at this point in the season…
the Cards were down BOTH their starting corners and their leading tackler - I’m sure that opened up some plays for our offense (and vice versa for our injuries for some of their plays)…
just part of the game unfortunately, with how hard these players perform every play
So many great plays from our defense. I have to give a solid nod to Riq Woolen he played great and so glad they didn't trade him. How about Tryce Knight super star in the making. Just an all around great performance and makes me think this defense is better then the legion of Boom
And they're doing it with duct tape and chewing gum. Jarran Reed is on IR, and that in combination with Jones IV is concerning for this coming game. Peeking over at the Rams game, that offense is terrifying and they have more than one receiver to throw to. You gotta hope Jobe can come back. Prichett was great today, but they're getting very thin back there...
JReed had wrist surgery going into the Bye, then re-injured it last week. Talk about Grit. My bet is it had much to do with E-Man coming back after his hand's boo-boo. I'll be looking to see if Olu had much to do with our run game heating up. My initial feeling was the guys said 'Enough of this sht'.
Woolen was outstanding. At different times, Durden had him on both Harrison and McBride, and Riq more than rose to the occasion. That Lawrence was the DPOTG takes nothing away from how well Woolen, Emmanwori, and Knight played.

Buckle up. This ride is going to be fun.
So I've changed my tune on Woolen. I thought they'd get rid of him for lack of physicality and bonehead plays. Now it looks like he's developing.
Those passes defensed in the second half were the exciting part of the second half, at least to me.
Pritchett’s play that saved a TD was spectacular, but Woolen and Spoon also had great plays. Even Harrison’s TD was played well by Spoon.
When this D has Jones IV, Love and Reed back, it will be incredibly dominant.
A lot of second teamers and even a few third are gaining invaluable experience in these blowouts. We shouldn’t overlook this.
Interesting to see Cabeldue out there at center at the end of the game.
Coop was in a huff over Lock's loose play kneeling down when closing the game. Felt like a peek behind the curtain...
Oh, I didn't notice that. Thanks for pointing it out. It's great to have a pro's pro like Kupp on this team.

Thnx hugely, Tim! I so much appreciate someone having eyes and ears in the Game. Bleacher scans didn't show a whole lot of red.

Sounds like it was a great time!

Somebody threw AJ into the passing lane. Maybe 39 year-old Campbell? He looked rather growly today.
Probably was Campbell.🙂
If it’s the Cards, it’s always Campbell… 🫤
Sam needs to stay away from the helmets. They keep causing interceptions.
60% third down conversion, 3 penalties for 20 yards, more rushing yards than passing yards. Keep this up and we will win a playoff game or two.
There were quite a few firsts for today:
- Emmanwori's first (half) sack.
- Holani's first NFL TD.
- Mafe's first sack this year.
- Lawrence's first 2 TD day. Haha,
The defense was lights out. Knight really stepped up, Thomas was all over the field, Emmanwori showed some pass defense chops with 4 pass defenses, Woolen was solid and those goal line stands were amazing.

This team is i believe the 4th youngest as well and will only get better. Woolen looked good. I was glad he stepped up.

Seattle has the #1 seed in the NFC playoffs.
But the eagles have to lose for us to keep it.

I wonder if they ought to consider leaving Olu at C and having Sundell replace Bradford at RG...

I think the Seahawks will top the Eagles for the 1st seed if the Eagles lose. It’s best overall record 1st, then conference record
Sorry for my mistake: the packers Eagles is MNF not SNF.
