Arizona has been awful covering tight ends this season.

Yes tomorrow will be a big opportunity for Dissly, Parkinson, and Fant, especially if the box is loaded against Walker.

My Vision Board -

1) The Seahawks leave Glendale, AZ with NO INJURIES!!! (None of any note - CHECK)

2) Bruce Irvin goes 'Kobra Kai bully' on Kyler Murray w/o The Karate Kid-style redemption. (CHECK)

3) Pete Carroll's post game locker-room speech gets aired. (Seen some great pics - I am sure the speech will get aired - Check-ish)

A couple of thoughts. I don't know if anyone has spoken about this already, because it seems rather obvious, but I'm wondering if Carroll would consider lining Woolen up opposite Hopkins, wherever he goes. He's the only corner on the team with any shot at defending DeAndre effectively. Though a tall order for a rookie, I think he's our best chance.

I'm not confident about this game but then I was sure Seattle would lose last time. I'd give the Hawks a 40% chance of winning the game and effectuating the quad-annual sweep.

On Fant, I can see why Denver was willing to part with him. I mean, the whole trade, I kind of get it. Giving up two first and two seconds is a lot but if you think you're in win now mode, just a top QB away, one must take risks and draft picks take time to develop and often fail to pan out. How often does a team trade away one of the best signal callers in the league? The players included were Fant, a high draft pick who has proven enigmatic and difficult to develop, Harris, a very solid player entering the latter years of his career and Lock, a guy with all the physical tools who hasn't been able to slow things down enough to avoid self destructing on the field.

Can Carroll develop Fant? I don't know. So far, it doesn't seem so but he's not had a ton of time with the guy. As with Lock, the physical tools are there.

interesting observations...I have no problem with Fant. Not everyone on the team can be a star. Role players are needed too. If we look at Dissly being our TE1...cool.

Using the G-7's delayed development, I am for continuing to nurture Drew Lock with back-up expectations and delighted with him becoming a star down the road some.

I don’t see them lining up Woolen against Hopkins—for better or worse, it’s not how Pete Carroll rolls.

Agree with your assessment of the trade. Fant helps, but he doesn’t look like a top 20 draft pick. Harris helps, but there are likely cheaper alternatives. As for Lock, we’ll have a good idea of where he stands if the Hawks resign him. If they do, I wonder if they’ll draft a QB unless one falls into their lap.

Two years from now, it’s very possible that the trade will come down to Cross, Mafe, and whoever they get next year.

I imagine they'll resign Lock. They've been open that he was a target of the trade. Schneider and Carroll seem enamored with his tools, though I suppose it's possible they've given up on him by now. I imagine they're quietly bringing him along, or trying to, though I guess if Carroll comes to see him as inherently unreliable, he could wind up going with a backup who seems more of a sure thing.

Can't help wondering if Seattle would be interested in someone like Daniel Jones if he were released (or a guy like Lance Jones or Trevor Lawrence if let go in another year or two). It seems in recent years the fashion has been to give up on guys who don't get it together within their rookie contracts, though I guess those with obvious skills (like Wentz and Mayfield) get chance after chance.

I see the Cardinals lining up Hopkins in the slot a bunch. The word is out that Woolen is good and they avoid him. Coby struggles at first and ends up with a statistically bad-ish game, but he makes one game changing play that seals the Seahawks victory.

LJ Collier plays a bit more and gets a sack. He's generally disruptive to Arizona's offensive plans and Kenneth is forced to put him in the "stock up" column on Sunday night. I've seen it.

After this game the NFL media are all saying "wait, what? K9 can catch the ball too!"

-I hate State Farm Stadium. Chancellor saw his career end and Sherman tore his achilles, Will Dissly and Earl Thomas were lost for the season. I'll just be glad to get out without a serious injury.

-Woolen and Jackson are 6'4" and 6'1" which should help against Hopkins.

-Hopkins should be doubled but Murry's running forces one-on-one coverage. Either somebody has to spy Murry (and he's too fast for a linebacker) or the safties have to cover the receiever when the corners attack Murry's scramble. Either way it puts the defense in a bind.

-Hopefully, not depending on Taylor will keep Murry from beating us on the edge.

-Hopkins will score two touchdonws and Murry will run for one.

-There will be one TD each for Dissly, Metcalf, Lockett, and K9.

-Eskridge will commit a costly penalty or turnover and be held to ten or less yards.

-Final score- 31-28 in favor of Seattle. Too locking close.

Irvin spied Kaepernick with decent success. Bruce isn’t as quick or fast as he was, but as a running threat Murray is no Kaep.

Boye Mafe is faster than Kyler. Boye is ticking up with a sack last week and I bet he puts Kyler on the turf at least once, as AZ doubles Nwosu.

Mafe was badly beaten trying to cover a back on a wheel route the last two games. I like him but he's no match for Murry's quickness in space. I hope you're right.

Mafe is green he was left unblocked on his sack. Mafe will be good and is playing a bit part learning how to drop into coverage like Nwosou on Barkley. In a perfect world the 3/4 looks like that

Barton actually has amazing speed. He'd be an excellent spy for Murray.

Speed isn't the same thing as quickness. I can't imgine Barton making anyone miss in space.

Since Clint decided to turn the dogs loose Seattle has played very well on defense. Those gaping holes have shrunk. The front 5 know containing Murray in the pocket and standing up his linemen make it very difficult to see. As Seahawk fans we know this feeling. Vision board says AL Wood gets that sack on Sunday. I love the rotation of our linemen. When Shelby Harris has enough in the tank to catch Daniel Jones the rotation is right

I don't know how much we see D Hop and Woolen fighting for the ball. D Hop is the best 50/50 catcher of the ball since Michael Irving. I think Michael Jackson is going to see him much more.

Finally did you see kylers back foot ints both presumably to Robbie Anderson. Both were from pressure in his face and the escape routes blocked. Aaron Donald loves this type of game. Our middle 3 will play the same way aided by #26 making crucial tackles, Neal is a star

NYG had a running QB and one other weapon, Arizona has a running QB and one other weapon. The weapon is different but I'm seeing the Seahawk defense close down AZ's offense just like it did the Giants. Geno looks good but not great. KW3 and the TE's all have big days and the Seahawks win going away. I can't see the Mariners getting another penalty but PC will be on the field just as he always is.

Hope you're right. I see Murray, though far less than elite, a significant step up from Jones. But then there's no Barkley and Kingsbury et. al. is not Daboll et. al. Hopkins scares me. Will be a great test for our defense.

This is a really good game. Playing Arizona on the road is a great test. Hopkins will be opposite Woolen quite a bit which is going to be excellent.

And I think Seattle is going to work hard at pushing their run game ahead. I think we started seeing it last week with some different looks with DJ and Homer adding to KWIII's presence in the backfield. I'm looking for a big game from Ken because--well, as seen here--you can't keep handing the guy the ball and not have results.

They had to practice for a running QB last week too so they're going to be ready for that component.

It's a great road test against a divisional opponent. I like the Seahawks, but it's going to be a different game than the last one.

Ok I saw 4 TDS through the air last week and Geno threw them… they were not all caught! :) I thought Walker might get a receiving TD but alas another superlative run TD instead.

All the great RBs ( eg Travis Henry, Adrian Peters) rarely had two outings back to back under 100 yds and I am looking for a big game from Walker—over 100 yds rushing over 150 total with a receiving TD!

Walker was a fingernail from housing a 70 yarder. Just got tripped up in the backfield.
