Marriota. If not him, Keenum. I’m also good with Tyrod Taylor as a VT alum. You’ll never have a character question with Tyrod.

Good to hear Watson is off the board; bring in Minshew if they don't want to ride with Lock this year. Is Willis or Ridder the long term vision? We over paid on Dissly; $8 mil a year for a #2 TE? Hmmmm

You will not want Willis or Ridder by the time we get to the draft. The Seahawks will acquire a low-tier starting veteran, that's it. This is not the draft you want to take a QB. Seahawks will be able to draft a Pro Bowl+ offensive lineman or defensive lineman and then find a superstar QB in 2023.

I'm hoping that's the case, but we haven't done a lot in the OL draft process. Pete and John always looking to crack the egg differently than anyone else. I think the last "sure thing" of a draft pick was Aaron Curry (and that wasn't even Pete and John) and that didn't pan out to good for us. Sure ET was a great pick but i don't recall much fanfare about the pick before that. Now that we have draft capital my concern is that if it can be messed up, my trepidation is that we'll do it....LOL

The last sure thing was Russell Okung and Earl Thomas. Don't compare walnuts to oranges. There's a massive, huge, insane difference between a late first round pick and a high first round pick. Keep checking in on my upcoming draft reports on the offensive linemen who the Seahawks will likely target and I promise you'll see that there are plenty of good bets.

I had heard that Seattle would not be meeting with Watson tomorrow. There are teams scheduled for tomorrow. Seattle not meeting with Watson is not for society reasons. The Seahawks have been told that the Saints and Panthers are offering more than what we got for Russ. In that case I would agree even though I was one who wanted DeShawn. The only name on today's list that I chose is Colt McCoy. Colt has proven that he can move the ball, and he is likely to work the middle of the field and use Colby Parkinson. Two days ago, I also offered Minshew and Mariota. For me, McCoy has a slight edge over Mariota. Victoria Chris

Drats he just signed for 2 years. Career backups don't usually get 2 year deals do you know how much. It will help me figuring out what we will pay. I know.Mariota took a pay cut last year, he was paid $3million the year before it was $7 million. If you put those two together $10 million may get the job done. He is really the only one I want. He is Okay and has a lot of experience

Super happy we aren't giving up 3 1st rd picks for Watson and all of his baggage! I think the Hawks should draft Malik Willis and have a QB on a rookie contract again so they can spend money on other positions. Use all of their other picks on OL/DL and sign somebody big (Chandler Jones, Jadeveon Clowney, Akim Hicks, etc.) in free agency.

Give me a few weeks, Todd, and I will walk you back from wanting the Seahawks to draft a first round QB. Trust me.

Marriota, minshew. While I feel kap MIGHT be able to play, I believe there are locker room issues totally apart from his nfl blacklisting. We need a TEAM guy for the next 2 years. Maybe Heineke. Would also fit

Mariota, Minshew, and Heinecke should all be in play.

Doesn't hurt my feelings that Watson isn't going to be a Seahawk. I figured he didn't fit into the type of character that Pete values when picking players.

Collin Kaepernick. He is cheap and It would be the most metal thing ever if that actually worked out. LFG.

Career 59% passer, was on the decline when he last played, and he last played 6 years ago. So much of his game was his legs, and age doesn't help that; though time away from the game might have slowed that decline. I'm not against it, just not very optimistic he would amount to anything more than a camp body.

If it gets people to stop asking that the Seahawks draft a QB, I'm all for it.
