Seahawks draft top-30 visits update
Over 30 reported visits, meetings between Seahawks and 2024 NFL Draft prospects: Seaside Joe 1854
Out of all the 2024 NFL Draft prospects who the Seattle Seahawks will meet with, either formally or informally, official or unofficial, a handshake or a high-five, we can safely say that at least a few will be on the team in the future. I would expect at least 2-3 to be Seahawks this year, but that number should grow even beyond 2024 as some will be available either after final cuts or in 2025 or maybe as late as 2028 free agency.
It is not fair to assume that most of these prospects have a future in Seattle, because they don’t, but in our quest to connect the Seahawks with potential future Seahawks, this list is an important one. And for whatever reason when I searched Google for “Seahawks visits tracker”, I didn’t come away with a single good web page or list. Not one.
So this is THE one. If you’re like, “Wow, how nice of you!” then please consider joining the newsletter today either for free if you have never signed up or upgrading to premium for $5 per month or only $55 per year:
I don’t get to take total credit though, as I was helped massively by this running list created on Twitter by Alexandre Castro.
Teams get 30 “official visits” with prospects before the draft but the true list is more than 30 names. For example, local players can be exceptions. Some of these visits are also potentially just quick meetings at showcase bowl games or the combine or a pro day. Regardless, here are over 30 names in the 2024 draft that we can talk about as it relates to the Seattle Seahawks:
First round prospects
QB Jayden Daniels, LSU
QB J.J. McCarthy, Michigan
QB Drake Maye, UNC*
DT Byron Murphy, Texas
EDGE Dallas Turner, Alabama
DT Johnny Newton, Illinois
