Not good news but not devastating either. There is still plenty of time to adjust "the plan" to have Lock ready to play week 1. I'm as excited to see KWIII just like everyone else, and missing a large chunk of time at training camp is never good for any rookie, but I just read this really great article examining the depth the Hawks have at the RB position. It's all going to be fine. Go Hawks!!!
Our RB room looked strong against the Stealers so the loss of KWIII might not be so keen. But Lock with Covid....how close are players in camp? Fingers crossed he’s the only one.
Gotta tell you Ken. You need a way to mod your site on hot button topics. I know you're trying to build something here and I'm with you, but if you allow some back alley of ignorance nobody will come. No reply necessary.
Ok so here is the revised Drew Lock time line, just so we are all clear:
Drew plays the 1st Q of P3, getting back up to speed after being off due to Covid.
Geno is named the starter for the Denver game, while Drew is getting some time working with the 1's in practice.
During the Denver game, the Seahawk's early lead is erased by halftime, and the Seahawks are down by 8 at the beginning of the 4th quarter. Lock comes on for Smith and the game is tied at the end of regulation.
Seawhawks win the toss, and Lock leads the team on a GWD.
Disappointed for sure. I hope Drew can still prove himself as the more capable QB. I agree with some of the other sentiment here that Geno would be a dull watch. As for The Shrewd Negotiator, get him healthy and ready to play. It doesn’t matter if it’s week one or week six. I’d like to see him breaking ankles and breaking hearts by the end of the season!
This is seriously disappointing. Not even very interested in watching Thursday’s game. And I was one of those screaming for Geno at the Rams game last year. But I know what he can do and it’s BORING. Was really hoping to watch Lock prove himself. Hopefully this is just a setback, but it doesn’t bode well for week 1.
Let's hope we don't see check down Geno. I am a little disappointed but if he recovers quickly he should be good to start the next one. I do feel if Drew feels the coaching staff are behind him, he is our best chance to win. KWlll has a hernia problem, hopefully it's minor. I have seen many hockey players miss months it depends on severity. The Seahawks have gone through this and Pete was optimistic Pete.
So sorry for your loss Gunny....

I'm just here to talk about football.
So bummed about Walker. But I guess this will make his rookie of the year award even more impressive.

Let's go Shrewd Negotiator!

Yeah, this and the KW news sucks the life out of Thursday's game.
Seriously. And I had cancelled an event to stay home and watch the game. Now not really looking forward to it at all.
At my age, a TNF pre-season game *is* an event!
I was going to say it takes an act of God to make you wrong but you had that covered too.

Oh no!!! That’s terrible! And not the Drew Lock news, though that’s a bummer.
Well, darn! Darn, darn, darn, darn, darn.
And darn!
Did I say darn?
I couldn’t have said it any better
