I envision the Seahawks become the first team to actually stop to the tush push. The Eagles go for it on 4th down on the final drive of the game to try to keep their game-tying drive alive. It's 4th and one and we all know what's coming. What's this? Abe Lucas and Anthony Bradford are coming in on defense? They get lower and they get the push and the get the turnover on downs! The play is then called the "tush smoosh" in Tuesday morning's Seattle Times.
In one of your comments yesterday, you mentioned Jake Locker and I said he was playing well for the Bengals. However, I got my Jakes mixed up. I was talking about Jake Browning. My bad. But then, The Huskies did have a run of Jakes at QB. Jake Locker, Jake Browning and Jake Haener (before he transferred to Fresno State). So I apologize for my misinformation.
Remember the Bucs game last year in Germany? Up until that game, the Bucs were bad at stopping the run and they were bad at running. Then they smashed the Seahawks in der Mund. I hope the Eagles don’t discover their run defense on Monday night.
My vision for this game is that this is the "Youth will be served!" game we have been waiting for, especially on D. I see that Brooks is back to "limited" on the injury report and looking good for Monday. If that is the case, please sit Bobby on passing downs! Riq is going to have a Tariq game. Hall/Mafe gets sacks. Coby Bryant gets a start at S, and has an INT.
I really think that Lock is going to start this game if Geno is anything less than 100%, simply because Pete wants to have the best chance to win. A healthy and ready Lock will be the best chance for the Seahawks on Monday.
Same with Jamal on passes. Embarassing. Looked like he was not in sync with Hurtt's designs. I recall Tre Flowers played much the same: way off his man, and did not like it. Last week, Pete was having some good talks with Lock on the sideline. The Team was gaining a much needed rythm. The body language looked encouraging for playing this week, but that's way off the limb and out into the twigs for speculation. Still, I'd bet he plays.
It would not surprise me to see Adams "inactive" on Monday. The play that would have frosted Pete was when Adams was in on Purdy and did not get him down (or even disrupt the pass). Adams has clearly lost a step on the pass rush and has had tackling issues--Pete will put up with prima donnas if they produce, but he has lost patience completely with Adams.
The vagaries we see in the officials determining fouls must be a huge frustration, especially if the coach dismisses complaints. Playing defense has changed radically in these last 2 years. I've noticed a distinct adjustment drop in DPI calls since our Dallas game. Officiating should cease nitpicking and focus on managing the temper and tone of a game. The NFL needs to see this, as hard tacklers are most affected. People know when someone is out to do real damage, so yeah, they can step up the calls until sanity returns. Warn the Coach. Jamal may be thinking the way he plays has been obsoleted. It might be why we see such sad tackling- nobody knows what will be tolerated in this kinder/gentler push to avoid injury law suits. Maybe Officials could have a pre-game briefing with both teams? Dunno, but it has sickened me more this year. I am recognizing Good Football less and less. Goodall's management of the NFL sucks. I hope Gruden kicks his petty ass.
Officiating seems to be a constant sore spot and it has not been getting better. In truth, the NFL is a hard sport to officiate given the speed of the game and its inherent violence. But just like OCs and DCs often call their plays from a box, there should be one official that is watching the game "from the booth" who can call fouls and/or overrule the on-field call.
I'm noticing DK will not elevate to catch passes. Waldron has designed plays that put two (DK+1) on a line and the throw is high, but low enough for DK to go up and get it or the backup can grab it. He doesn't even make an effort. Last week it was almost intercepted. It makes sense that Lock throws a lot to JSN, as he gets the most exposure at #4WR. His drops are a problem.

Who do we get to treat like the Fax Machine in Office Space if they lose?
Interesting note that Hurts is sick, but the Hawks didn't beat Mariota last year either. I hope all your visions come true Joe.

No worries, bubba. Everything's jake in Salt Lake.

Seems like Mafe's production is absolutely tied to Nwosu on the other side, unfortunately.
Did I read Jamal is sitting out? After watching him last week, I never thought I'd say "Whew".
Where did you read this? I bet they are saying it is injury-related to save face for Jamal getting benched
I follow Lee Vowell also. It comes from one of his past articles, but here he is again today in his 2nd paragraph: https://12thmanrising.com/posts/seahawks-news-geno-smith-drew-lock-tee-higgins-mnf-picks

But Adams... just ain't the player he used to be.
I’m going heavy DK. He always slays the eagles and maybe even more so without Slay?
Hawks 31-16 ... 3 TD tosses from Geno (2 to DK) the other TD from K9.
Go hawks

DK loves playing the Eagles!
You totally need to raise the 12th man flag, there’s no one more deserving than you!
I hope so, Joshular!
And I hope he doesn’t, 4-0 to end the season baby!
Maybe Pete after he gets fired? 😆
