Where are Seahawks fans from???
Hey you! Yes you! I have a question to ask you... Seaside Joe 1625
As we embark on a new season of my favorite TV show, The Seattle Seahawks, now is the perfect time to reach out to the thousands of people who are subscribed to the Seaside Joe newsletter and to survey fans on perhaps the most important question of all: How did you get here?
No, not how did you get to this newsletter. Not exactly.
And not how did you get here, as in on Earth. I’m pretty sure the answer to that is that we’re all A.I. generated NPCs who were created to mine crypto for aliens.
What I am asking is, how did you become a Seahawks fan?
For the brave souls who wish to bear their truths in the comments section, by all means take the opportunity to tell your tale:
But for everyone else, I’ve once again done my favorite thing to do from a position of being the writer, which is to put the spotlight on you because I’m more interested in what other fans have to say than what I have to say. I created a very SHORT survey and I guarantee you will know the answers to all the questions, related to where you are from, how you became a Seahawks fan, when you became a Seahawks fan, and where you’ve been a Seahawks fan.
We’ll also find out which of you Seahawks fans is the farthest away from the Seahawks.

I like creating surveys on Google Forms because I those generate the most/best answers and I can also have have more than five options while also allowing fans to remain anonymous.
I’ll share the survey results this week after everyone has had a chance to answer the questions. It’s short and should take less than one minute.
Make sure you are subscribed to the free Seaside Joe newsletter, if you’re not already, so you don’t miss seeing the results this week! Just enter your email address in the space below.
I’ll post the results for free of course, but if you do decide to join the Regular Joes club for $5 then you can get at least two bonus articles per week (I wrote six bonus articles last week), including Saturday’s training camp updates and sharing film breakdowns on Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Drew Lock, Olu Oluwatimi, and Boye Mafe. Or the 53-man roster and practice squad projection.
In case you missed it, Saturday’s free article was a deep dive on Jake Bobo.
Don’t forget…

I was a Houston Oilers fan. I LOVED Earl!!! Sadly, the Oilers left for Nashville and my allegiance went out the window. I pretty much stopped being a fan of the NFL and simply cheered for my CFL team, the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Then, in 2007 I met my wife. She is a huge Seahawks fan and has been since day one in 1976. On our second or third date she made it clear Sundays were NFL days and that I could choose to watch the Seahawks with her or be alone on Sundays. (I should mention we live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada). Well, my Sundays immediately become Seahawk Sundays.
After a year of dating, Diane suggested we go to Seattle and watch the Seahawks. I had heard all about the 12's and what a great place Quest field was to be so off we went. Our first game was against San Diego. The Seahawks were getting creamed until about the middle of the 3rd, then rallied to nearly win. What an exciting experience and I was all IN on the Seahawks.
We bought tickets from a fellow in Sec 133 for a couple of years and met some life long friends who had the seats beside us. Diane and I soon put our name on the Wait List (which was only about 2000 people back then) and hoped to get our own tickets. Fortunately, we got season tickets the next year as the stadium was expanded and the number of tickets an individual could own was reduced. Our seats were WAY UP in Sec 331. After a year of sitting up there, it was obvious that as we were getting older, making the climb up to 331 was not going to be an option. As we do not have children, I suggested we invest in Charter Seats. We were fortunate to get outstanding Charter Seats in Sec 112, two aisles seats at what today would be called a highly discounted price. Since then, we have been flying to Seattle from Calgary for every home game. I believe I am now a bigger (and certainly louder!) fan than my wife. We have become very good friends with the couple who sit in front of us.
I am forever grateful for my wonderful wife for introducing me to one of my life's huge passions, The Seattle Seahawks!!!!! GO 'HAWKS!!!!
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but never a Rams fan growing up in the late ‘60s and early 1970’’s. Being a professional musician…moved to Texas and then San Francisco in the late ‘80s… but being die hard Dodgers fan, i couldn’t bring myself to stomach the 49ers! I moved to Portland in ‘91 and started my band Everclear in ‘92…where I started paying attention to the Seahawks….loved the players but really loved how psychotic and intense and LOYAL the fans were. When Mike H became HC…I was hooked!. I live in LA now but I am known as that crazy Seahawks guy to my neighbors..( badge of honor)! Thanks for this page!…Love the writing, the sense of humor…and most of all the fact you write almost everyday!…lol
Thx,
Art
