On Friday, I posted a newsletter called “Praise or Pressure?”, with a series of questions in comments section for you to answer because I believe this is a writer’s number one job: LISTENING.

Any writer or content creator should be doing at least 90% listening/reading/researching and only 10% delivering the news or their opinions. A reporter is not a “reporter” if they don’t have anything to report. So I didn’t want to tell you what I think about the Seahawks, I want to know what you think about the Seahawks.

You showed up…big time!

There were 277 comments in the thread — a Seaside Joe record — and even if 17 or so of those were mine, that’s still a lot of feedback from you!

Seaside Joe is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Now it’s time for the 10%, which is really just more of what YOU had to say about John Schneider, Geno Smith, and Ryan Grubb. There are more names to cover from the comments, but I’ll start with these three.

I chose the top-liked comments, as well as a few others that stood out to me. I also wanted to be balanced, so I took comments from both sides of the aisle.

It’s my intention to spread the love, which is why I tried not to highlight anybody more than once and if I overlooked your comment, it’s not because I disagree with you or that I think your comments sucked. I could only pull out a few per section, so that means there are TONS of great comments left on the cutting room floor.

So go back to the original thread and read what everyone had to say for yourself if you’re interested.
