Where you at??? Seahawks Super Bowl edition!
Comments are open to all Seahawks fans and only Seahawks fans!
I did this a couple of years ago and we got fantastic results, so with the Super Bowl in three days it just seemed like the right time to get to know your fellow Seahawks fans at Seaside Joe again.
When/how did you become a Seahawks fan? Where are you from? Is where you’re from also where you’re watching the Super Bowl from? Some people are from Seattle, some people are from Bellevue, some people are from Spokane or Portland, and some people are from Brazil. Seahawks fans are from everywhere, including the ones who read Seaside Joe. You might find a new friend or a long lost one.
I’ll start by being the first person to share my deets in the comments, so at the very least if you don’t want to participate you can get to know other Seahawks fans and maybe you’ll read an interesting story or two you didn’t expect. The last time we did this, I was SHOCKED (in a great way) in some of what I found out about you that week. I found out that one of you is someone who I had all of your albums as a teen!
Comments are open to all subscribers today, free or premium, because I really want to give EVERYBODY a chance to introduce themselves to the community today. Let us know who you are and where you’re at:
But if you want to upgrade to Regular Joes (and join future comment threads and the Super Bowl live chat) then you can do that here:
I have one special Super Joes Q&A question that I can also answer for today’s special thread:
Rusty: What awesome snacks/hors d’oeurves are planned in the Seaside Joe/Jay household for the Super Bowl?
I asked Seaside Jay if she could take this Super Joes Q&A question for me and after she said her usual “Husband! Husband! Oh how I’ve miss you!” she shared what she’s preparing for a two-person (and one dog) Super Bowl menu.
‘Seaside Jay Super Bowl servings’:
-wings (buffalo, garlic parm)
-pigs in a blanket (in puff pastry)
-artichoke and spinach dip
-green goddess dip (new york times recipe)
-vegetable crudite
-a Tomahawk steak for our 20 lb terrier (requested by Clark but not yet promised)
What about you all? Share your Super Bowl plans and menus in the comments too! Tell other Seahawks fans about Seaside Joe if you wanna.

Where Seaside Joe is from:
I was born in Edmonds in 1982 and moved to Bellevue when I was 3, which is where I stayed until going to WSU (after BCC) in 2003. Maybe I went to college with some of you???
I recently found out that Jeff Probst, the host of my favorite TV show, went to Newport High School, by the way. Did anyone here go to school with Jeff Probst???
As you can imagine, I became a Seahawks fan in the 90s. Some memories (I think) of Cortez Kennedy's DPOY season but my first favorite player would have been Warren Moon.
I moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to pursue writing and that's where I've been ever since.
Named my dog Clark after Clark Kent. Not that I'm a huge Superman or comic book fan, but when I was deciding what to name him he made the most UNBELIEVABLE leap I've ever seen, as if he could fly over tall buildings.
Blogging is just something that happened to me as I pursued what I found to be the most fulfilling way to spend time, which was writing about sports. Fully focused my attention on the Seahawks in 2011 and been going full time since 2014.
seaside clark is appalled, shocked, and offended that you think he weighs 20 pounds. he’s 19.4 pounds!!! (let’s be real, he’ll probably get up to and over 20 after that tomahawk)
i’m a casual fan. it all started when i went out with a guy in 2020 who is a huge seahawks fan. he was wearing a seahawks jacket on our first date! he told me he wrote a daily seahawks newsletter and i was like “committed to his craft? marriage material!”
