I thought Coach was the funniest person on the show. Woody was pretty funny also but the whole cast was so good.

Appreciate the video content, thanks. As good as Woolen is, his tackling and run defense is still a work in progress. Spoon may inspire him to sort that out though.

I wonder what they'll do at RG and RT this week. Play Olu at C and permanently move Brown to RG? Keep Forsythe at RT or move Peters there? The left side of the line is at least reasonably healthy again, so that's something. Just need to sort out the right side until Abe is back in business.

It's intersting that in the same number of games, Witherspoon has been throw at 40 times vs 22 times for Woolen. And pretty small differences in the production on those throws. If Woolen had made that interception against Daniel Jones, they're basically identical except Witherspoon sees twice as many targets. But yeah the noticeable difference is tackling, run defense, and aura. Witherspoon shows up on TV multiple times per game, Woolen is not being mentioned unless he gets a pick, it's interesting.

Sharing the love & links. YT channel I really enjoy, Jose, does retrospectives on a wide variety of sitcoms (and some other stuff) including Frasier [and Cheers] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Foau4PrnFTw [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBQqWVkzACo]

Also here to continue my one-man crusade to rename the Tush Push to Ass Blast! If you want it banned there's no quicker way to have teams drop the play than calling it the Ass Blast and referring to them as Ass Blasters. If you are ok with the play (like me) then Ass Blast is just more funny, and the NFL always needs more funny.

Cheers was one of the greatest shows ever. Frasier was pretty damn good, too. All inspired by the legendary Fawlty Towers (something I did not know). Great stuff, Seaside!

Thanks for the links. You get a heart. The churn.

Witherspoon has fixed our weakest link and turned it into a position of strength. Even the LOB had to bend incessantly, and usually because of a pass given up by the slot cb. I anticipate this defense shutting down opposing offenses routinely now. Offense is just gravy.

Lots'o great videos, this is going to take a while to consume.

Fun detail about Frasier is that Kelsey Grammer was immediately loathed by the Cheers audience because he represented a threat to the Sam/Diane relationship, but eventually Shelley Long asked to leave the show and Frasier became a fan favorite. However, he nearly got written off the show for living his best life a little too hard (actually way too hard, but they loved Frasier so he survived). All that is ironic because he's the only cast member they eventually gave his own show and Frasier was one of the most successful spin-off sit-coms in TV history.

You just never know how things will eventually pan out, like Frank Clark coming back to the Seahawks. Life is strange.

Just to point out Frasier isn't the only Cheers character spin-off. Whilst Frasier is far and above the best spin-off, and just straight up one of the best sit-coms, 'The Tortellis' was a short lived flop based on Carla's ex-husband (who was a named character on Cheers and appeared in a few episodes). And thus there are two character based spin-offs from Cheers.

I have read, years ago, that The gentleman who played Coach actually got the role by accident. He was a member of the production crew originally. However, when the filmed the rehearsal, the guy who was supposed to play Coach was sick and unable to be there for the filming so the guy, who was a production assistant, stood in for him for the shoot and the director liked his performance so much that he gave him the role. Also, He was from Longview Washington.

One of my favorite Cheers bits:

“How was the funeral, Coach?”

“Pretty gloomy, Diane.”

The role of Coach was initially offered to Ron Luciano (yes that one) and then John Madden (yes that one), before going to Robert Prosky who all turned it down. As far as i know, and have heard, Nicolas Costalano was hired in a normal way (i.e. asked by the production team to do it). He was a small scale TV director alongside his acting work through the 60's & 70's (including several episodes of Hawaii Five-O, and acting in Raging Bull - what a combo!) so could have been slated as a Director and stepped in during pre-production, although I can't find anything to back this up.

Wyman is being very generous to Taylor. He dived to hard inside and needed to keep corner responsibility- I feel like he fails to head run at almost all times, thinking rush, rush, rush- He has been here long enough to understand what his actual responsibilities are. Let's hope FC can help out and at least be a good teacher for Taylor and others-

Olu Olu, rookie C, earns a PFF rating of 77.5 with one pressure allowed (all per Corbin Smth) is remarkably good.

And the unis are the bomb, especially with the silver helmets.
