Seahawks still have over $40 million in cap space
Before the possibility of trading for Maxx Crosby came up (again) on Tuesday night, I was already planning a post highlighting the unique position that the Seahawks are in as a reigning championship team that has basically locked in 90-95% of the roster they want and yet they still have the fourth-most cap space in the NFL on the eve of the league year.
So before we tap back in for the Crosby trade talks and whether John Schneider could “help save” the Raiders after the Ravens reneged on their deal, let’s marvel at the fact that Seattle has more cap space than Las Vegas:
At $43 million to spend (and potentially more to come), the Seahawks can do whatever they want. I really mean whatever they want. Do they want to re-visit the Maxx Crosby trade idea? Should they?
