Mock Draft: 5 Perfect Pairs for Seahawks
Seahawks mock draft picks for 16 and 81, served five different ways: Seaside Joe 1870
NFL mock drafts are opportunities for fans to role play as 32 GMs and to create fictional versions of what will happen in 11 days. That can give us endless opportunities to prepare for many different outcomes on April 25-27th, yet not a single one of those millions of mock drafts will even be close to 20% accurate and therefore Seaside Joe doesn’t really do “mock drafts”.
However, what I will do is consider which prospects do make sense as fits for the Seattle Seahawks…as hard as that should be to expect given the massive change in the front office in changing out the last voice in the room from Pete Carroll to John Schneider. There are still signs that could point to one direction or another and in some cases it doesn’t even matter if you’re talking about Carroll or Schneider or even two entirely different franchises. Don’t overlook the most important question of all: Which prospects are the best football players expected to go in this range of the draft?
With that I’ve made five different mock draft “perfect pairs” based on the Seahawks first two picks in the draft order for now: 16th and 81st overall.
These aren’t entirely mock drafts as they are just looking for the best football players at 16 and 81 and then matching them up for Seattle’s roster and what they could do if they stand pat at these two spots: If we choose Player A at 16, who should be Player B at 81? This is just five different versions of that with 10 prospects to look into at 16 and 81.
My only rules for this exercise were that I couldn’t make any trades and that I had to pick one offensive player and one defensive player. In real life, the Seahawks could make trades and could pick two offensive or two defensive players. This is just THIS VERSION of the exercise. In the future, I could create other version of the same “perfect pairs” to include trades and double-downs.
