Looks like 1-2 this week, but Mafe shined at moments so even if he didn’t reach those production numbers, I think 2-1 would be fair.

I watched the Season of Boom last night. I realize that I’m a homer and knew all the names on the team, but it really brought home how many stars there were. Would Mafe even get snaps in that lineup? We’re arguably stronger at wr & te today but that’s probably it. Maybe punter?

Watching that made me sadder for the state of our current squad than anything. We have a pretty solid roster. We have some players with crazy potential, especially from the last two drafts. But to win a championship, you have to be so loaded. And lucky with health. While I’d hate to mortgage the future for a ring like the Rams did; it did work for them. There are other ways of doing it, but as often as not, you either knock it out of the park with draft picks and acquisitions or trade it all for proven talent. Just rambling out loud. I want to be in the mix again.

If the offence starts fast then the game might get away from Carolina. If it starts slow, then this could be a slog. Carolina will attack with the ground game and with the passing game in the middle of the field, because we haven’t had an answer for that. If we limit the running game and not allow them much in the middle of the field on 3rd down, I think we’ll be in good shape.

Less a vision and more a desire: for the defence to dominate and prove we are genuinely making progress with the system, even if it's against a bad team.

As a vision, 100+ yds and a TD for the TEs! Panthers pass D is ok, but our TEs look ready to hoover up yards and create matchup chaos.

I can not began to tell you how entirely tired I am of the " Will Seahawks release Jamal Adams on Friday?" post that currently resides on the top of the Most Popular list. Make it quit.

Maybe we can take a vote to make it no longer "Most Popular," lol (although I'd bet something like that is out of his hands and just an automated function of Substack)

I see K9 time. Two 30+ yard runs and over 150 total yards.

I see Dre Jones show us why he's worth the price we're paying. No particular stats, just a general agreement that dude was disruptive.

I see Spoon getting a takeaway and a tackle for a loss or two.

Looks like some rain tomorrow afternoon so going to be interesting to see how that factors into this.

Actually it won't. A near hurricane will affect the Baltimore, NYJ and Washington games but not that much. Good teams are still better than not so good teams, even more in bad weather. Maybe you don't bet on the over/under but, I'm still thinking Baltimore wins my Survivor pick

Let me tell you about the Russell Wilson era of Seahawks football and rain. There's a huge irony in the fact that the team from Seattle has repeatedly been hampered by inclement weather. We'll see.

Wait, wut? Bill Murray was in a film called "Zombieland"??! I must have mssed that one :D.

While waiting for K9 to break out and have a monster game, this might be the game where we see Charbs show his stuff--he breaks a couple of routine-looking carries for explosive yardage; at least 50 yards and his first TD.

Seahawks top 30 points (all on offense), Geno has another 300+ yard day and two TDs/no INTs.

On D this will be a big sack day--at least 4--including one by Witherspoon. Run D stays under 3 YPC, and the Seahawks give up less than 14 points to the visitors.

And I will be enjoying my Victory Pulled Pork with Carolina Red Sauce and Honey Slaw! (That last one is 100% happening.)

Dude, Zombieland is so good! Genuinely one of the best zombie movies of the 21st century, and a top tier comedy. Plus it boasts a ton of really good actors giving super fun performances. Major recommendation.

I usually skip past the "Zombie" movie category but I am going to look for this one :D.

If they never make another zombi movie that’s fine with me. But that one and Shaun of the Living Dead are both pretty great.
