I was concerned at first too. Looking into it a bit online, it sounds like hip fractures and labrum injuries are really hard to spot through x-rays. Fingers crossed that Darnold keeps getting good news

Regards to Penalties - man, Seattle really has to just do better on some of those. Hall knows to get his hands in, any contact on a QB over the sideline is gonna be called. ST's know you cannot touch the kicker and you have adjust your line accordingly. There were more than a few occasions we were dancing with the clock and got away with it.
But all of them (except the Jobe one, which was actually a good penalty, as the alternative is AJ catches the ball and falls over to score) are fixable. They're not systematic issues or significant panic/quality issues. Hall will learn. The ST will learn. The timing between Lock and Sundell will improve with a week to practice.
Maybe the Pats got away with a couple. I think we still did too. Ultimately felt pretty balanced by the Refs who to my eyes got all the notable bits right. I'll always blame the team first, because we have a far bigger impact on the outcome.

No-other team in the NFL is as good at that as we are, and it's worth 3-4 games a year and is massive come the playoffs. It's not about being the "best", it's about finding ways to win. We f*cking won, lets go!!!

I really liked Jobe's postgame presser. His solid adultness is unmistakable, a perfect offset to live wire Spoon.
Lock's presser was equally enjoyable; he's real, humble, very likable. Also has a cannon, esp that quick sidearm release. He knows the game and will start somewhere next season.
Our run defense was good against their running backs, but they had trouble containing Maye. His average rush was 6.7 yards, and his rush of 16 yards was their third longest play. If we had lost Maye's breakouts would have been a big reason why.
And for the penalties, they were on all the units. The D got a bunch and there was a roughing the kicker on a punt. The D got the pass interference that set up the touchdown.
I don't consider the containment on Maye an issue, per se. To my eye it was a systematic decision to focus on plugging the middle to stop the RBs (who never got outside), and dropping the coverage deeper to take away the deep threat that was Maye/NE's primary threat. The system did work (mostly), and with it you all some concession to a primarily pocket passer to run around. [We could have done with slightly better tackling on the edge, too many times our guy bounced off Maye]
I would hope against more specific dual threat QB's the defensive calls would pull up a coverage LB to be 5yds closer and more ready to respond to a scramble/roll out.
This was a culture and chasing edges win. Sure there's lots more to it but when the margins are that small and the adversity that great most teams lose that game.

I think Maye deserves some credit for sticking it out longer against this D than in the SB, he seemed more confidant and not “seeing ghosts.” I don’t think the last pass was a wrong decision, more a throw away and a good defensive play by Jobe, which is encouraging given his start last year. Ultimately, one of my top 5 hawks wins. Also, no comment on Vrabel quickly exiting and not shaking hands or at least acknowledging our coach?
They showed the replay of the Barnyard penalty, and I did not see anything wrong. May have to watch it a few more times. And Vrabel is a jerk so no big surprise there. Three picks got the headlines but there were also three sacks. Maye played better but maybe it was because we didn't have Nick.

I don’t watch for snubs, nor want to jump into the preseason gossip, but Vrabel’s quick exit before the first half expired queued me to see if he’d meet MacDonald at the end of the game, given a “snub” at the SB. Maybe it’s just a Vrabel-ism.
I missed most of the game but saw the fourth qtr. Glad to see Thomas 2 at safety, I thought he might get the nod. Sam going down sucks. If he's down we'll need a Drew Lock rising. He had really good college tape his senior season, I thought he might be good in the NFL with some time. Maybe it's his time to shine.? Who knows. I would rather win ugly than lose while playing well, especially early in the season. Go Hawks!

I was very impressed with Mr Price — looks like a Rd 1 back. Wish we could have seen more of him but maybe against Cards.
Another great surprise was how well Pritchett played. He really looked good out there, and tough tackling too.
And not a surprise but Michael Dickson is exactly who you want if you’re going to win 13-10. He really pinned ‘em back and made it look easy
And thankfully it appears Myers has fixed his yips.

This is why Lock is the best back up QB on the NFL. Without the stupid penalties we win 23 to 10.! Considering the two starting Safeties were injured the D was absolutely fantastic proving why the ready squad players made the team. After tonight I don't see AB holding off Stephens much longer. A great , come back gutsy win.

It can also be cartilage chipped off in the joint. Hugely painful.

Fractures take forever to heal in the hip, so good news indeed it isn't that.
Mine took 4 weeks, age 46. Depends what / where.

I have to admit, I was concerned after Walker departed though I agreed with the logic of the decision. Walker was also one of my favorite players.
