I do see this year as a feeling out process for MM, not so much for JS. As I have said before as they continue to learn the system and grow- They Really aren't that far from being a very good team. I believe that being truthful with themselves and having the willingness to do it will determine how they go about free agency this coming year and what they determine needs repair/ upgrades. I think everyone would believe the O-line needs to be high on the list. A big nasty NT and continuing to upgrade or build their LB core (that includes the edge).

Well one thing. We’re not the Cowboys saddled with a Dak salary. Sure we don’t really have a true owner but we’re not the Cowboys…

I’m just going to say it. After this season we need to call it a rebuild. New coaching staff, most of our core players are on rookie contracts. Coach needs to cycle out the guys that don’t fit the system after a season of evaluation. If we add the right players through the draft and young, healthy talent in free agency we could see big gains next year. I suspect it will be year three for coach for our window to open.

“How far does the drive go if Nick Bosa doesn’t leave the game?

How does SB49 go if Jeremy Lane and Cliff Avril don’t leave the game? Who knows? Good teams take advantage of the opportunities they are given. A different lens: How would the 2021-2023 Seahawks done had Bosa left the game?

P.S. “8-2 Bears” should be “8-2 Vikings.”

I agree the Hawks need to finish 4-2 in the division to have any real hope of winning it. What about the 49rs schedule at Packers, at Bills, Bears, Rams, at Dolphins, Lions, at AZ. They might crumble out here soon especially if their injury luck doesn't improve. That would be fun to see!

The 9'ers could easily end up with a losing record for the season. Maybe like a 7 win team or something. They're just so banged up, and not really dominant on either side of the ball. Of course, this may mean they draft ahead of us and piss me off royally by taking the exact guy I wanted the Seahawks to grab, but oh well.

The niners are so banged up- Some, but what about how banged up Seattle's D was for 3 or 4 games after the good start? The biggest downfall currently for this team is simple! The O-line! If they had a middling performing O-line (and some different decisions during two of their games in regard to FG's and fourth down calls) They would be at least 7-3 right now! Are they great, NO, but they don't really need that much to be a very Good team! Correct decisions this off season and they very well could be a sleeper for some very good things next year!

Agree that the Seahawks are, perhaps, not that far away if the right offseason moves get made. There are all kinds of ways to win (and lose), and I think their record of 5-5 is about how they've played. The o-line holding back the offense, and the inability (until recently) to stop the run on defense. If the o-line plays average, and the recent play on defense continues, they can beat anybody. But they can also play pretty well and lose to good teams.......and there are a bunch of those remaining.

But, 2025 does look bright. So looking forward to that, regardless of how 2024 turns out.

Geno is finding himself among this group of Men. This TEAM. I see the same thing with Goff in Detroit. Belief is a powerful thing. We are privileged to watch it build. I have all faith in Coach Mike having the nose for finding the right chemistries and talents. Football, at its' best. Like good cooking, it's not so much what you add, but when.

100%. I have a ton of faith in Mike MacDonald. Getting the Team through last week ready to play the 9'ers and beat them is very impressive. He will make difficult choices. He can game plan and in-game adjust against anyone. I've found this season very interesting to watch as the team is slowly finding it's way. If they take another step against the Cardinals, that would be fun. But, improvement isn't linear, so who knows. And the Cardinals are a solid team, so it will be another great test.

Every time I listen to Earnest Jones I try to determine how likely it is he comes back to Seattle next year. He seems to really love the guys around him, and respects Mike Mac, so I really, really hope we can make the money work. The guy is a difference maker. He raises the floor of the team a great deal.

While we know it’s not “perfect” Olu was our #2 PFF rated player (behind JSN (what an awesome addition)) and Abe was 5th! That’s improvement. Need to keep growing and get stability (and better run blocking). Tyler with another Seahawks record (sorry SJ but little things important for fans seeing an icon soon leaving us).

As an optimist, I take the position that we WILL win all or most of the rest of the games on our schedule.

OMGeno! Yup, I wrote that hahaha. Here's to the Cardinals continuing their seemingly yearly trend of failing to win much in the 2nd half of the year.

Geno giveth and Geno taketh away. Great game against the 49ers and a bomb versus the Rams.

The oline played better with Lucas back and so did the D with new Mike LB. Jones

The remaining schedule makes the probability of the play offs unlikely but the Hawks keep getting incrementally better.

I' still don't understand why Charbs was a 2nd round draft pick. It might be time to give Mc Intosh a chance.

Agreed, Charbs is garbage and needs to be benched, MM needs to stop using him in short yardage situations. What a waste of a 2nd round pick!

One thing I feel vindicated about was my belief that the Rams wouldn't be all that great this year because their wins last season came against poor competition (sorry Seahawks) and that the 49ers would suffer from a combination of the Super Bowl loser's curse and injuries.

One thing I wanted to see last year was the Seahawks improving throughout the year and that didn't happen so I was fine with moving on from Pete. And with the defense getting better by leaps and bounds the last 2 weeks I like the improvement the Hawks are now showing. I doubt I'll see the improvement in pass blocking and the run game I'd like but I bet that's going to be a priority this offseason so right now I'm feeling fairly optimistic about things going forward, regardless as to whether the Hawks make the playoffs.

If someone other than the Seahawks wins the division, let it be the Cardinals. I'm gonna be really upset if we manage to sweep the Cardinals only to loose the division (and playoff berth) to the 49ers or Rams. But I still hope we can sweep the Cardinals!
