Pretty simple- If they win the next two, they have a shot! GO HAWKS!

I thoroughly enjoyed Mike Mac's jubilant display on the sidelines. Possibly, he is seeing his plan coming together! THAT in turn gets me excited!

The Moons gave that win to Dallas. Inexperienced bench players? I dunno. We are good in that department. Better yet, Prepared.

Kyler Murray took a beating yesterday. (Witness: Big Cat Williams playing rag doll with him) How he plays the Vikings next week will tell us much. Seems it's been relatively smooth sailing for him up until now.

A win always feels good, even an ugly win. This one feels better than that because it wasn’t ugly. I was surprised that Kyler Murray didn’t scramble for the win. The pic six was great, holding the cards to 6 points - the icing on the cake. All good notes … for the defense. The elephant in the room? The lack of scoring. Sixteenth points per game probably won’t get this team into the postseason. (If I have done my arithmetic correctly, they’re averaging just under 18 points per game)

Are we going to do a “hot medium mild” this week? Was there anyone hotter than Leonard Williams on D and JSN on I? 🔥🔥🔥 They both deserve their own category.

The whole D played great. Spoon was a force, Mafe got a sack, lots of plus players.

DK got some, K9 got more reception yards than running yards but showed out. The OL is a ⚠️ 🚧 work in progress but gave Geno enough time and space to make plays.

And… I’ll leave it there lol.

I like that Grubb shifts to the pass when the run is not there. Whether a handoff or a pass, getting the ball to K9/Charbs is all that counts. Separating them is more a measure of the offensive line opening lanes. My hope is they both stick with us as the team units come up to speed. I am wary the rested Jets may give us trouble, now they have a book to go by. Olu/Haynes' rookie tendencies will be exploited big time.

Talking with my son before yesterday’s game, I said the Hawks D was making me believe they could run the table to end the season and roll into the playoffs. He scoffed. Then after we watched the Hawks D simply shut down the AZ offense in a case of defensive dominance, he turned to me and said….they just might do it.

Yeah, I’m a continual optimist regarding the Seahawks, and they don’t need to run the table to make the playoffs, but footballs bounce funny and it could happen.

Regardless, that defense was something else yesterday. Whatever Leonard Williams is eating….i want some too!

Yes. I keep thinking about Green Bay last year. They were 2-5 at one point and lost 4 in a row.

Great example to just keep chugging. They ended up getting scorching hot and made some noise in the playoffs.

Never know. With the defense stacking 3 straight good games and one elite game, what's the ceiling now? We know how good the offense can be ... What happens if the defense continues at this level and the offense returns to a high level?

And also, the best team in the NFC (Lions) do not want to see the Seahawks in the playoffs.

I have enough anti-hypertensives, but feeling the need for some robust anxiolytic meds. Inconsistency will be the death of me, and that is the hallmark of the Hawks and the NFCW. None of them are worth predicting.

Fun win this week!

With six games to go, every analysis of division title or wildcard chances comes down to what's *possible* and what's *probable.* I contend without evidence that in most years, there are a couple of teams that achieve records - both good and bad - that looked highly improbable with a third of the season left to play. The fun part is when it's your team that overachieves and a key rival who falls just short.

In a division as tight as the NFCW, a couple of wins in an row can mean going worst-to-first (and a couple of losses the opposite) - so I intend to avoid taking years off my life by trying not to overreact either way...at least for a few more weeks. 😉

Laughing my ass off as usual, great interruption to a Monday work day thank you!

There's only one other team of relevance to add to your list here....and that's Seattle :-(. Unfortunately, no one can predict which version of the 'Hawks defense will play Aaron Rodgers and Bryce Hall next week (also coming off a bye week, that's two in a row schedulers!!), nor which version of the offense will play Quinnen Williams and Will McDonald and Haason Reddick and Sauce and our good pal DJ Reed.

I'm just hoping the Jets are so screwed up in the head that it doesn't matter which version shows up. We can't possibly lose as favorites to BOTH NY teams, can we??

I recall wondering why I didn't see the Jets yesterday, thinking of exactly your observation on the scheduling. Nah, that wouldn't happen... My hope is they hold a special place in Geno's heart. A dark place.

I'm gonna give you credit for coming straight out and owning a mistake like this because it is so incredibly rare, not just in sports journalism but in life. With the information available at the time you made a judgement call - one I begrudgingly accepted - and now being wrong never felt so right.

Ultimately I am not too fussed about a playoff appearance (a playoff WIN would be incredible) as long as some of these improvements we are seeing in all 3 phases continue; the ST return game is still awful but otherwise there has been marked improvement to my eyes. Its also notable to me that, with the 9ers struggling, there are really only 2 Very Good teams in the NFC (DET & PHI), so maybe that playoff win isn't too far-fetched.

I watched a dominant defensive performance yesterday and yet I still can’t believe the stat line.

James Connor 7 rushes for 8 yards.

Cardinals team: 14 rushes for 49 yards

That is incredible defense and something fans.front office was hoping to see when they hired Mike Mac, used draft capital and free agent money on key players.

Last year, the Packers were 4-6 at one point, got hot, and made a playoff run that almost beat the Niners.

Also last year, the Seahawks offense, with largely the same players, finished off the last part of the season as the second best offense in the NFL.

Long ways to go but they got a shot.
