Wishes:

1/. That we trade for picks, all expensive/older players & do a Sonics last yr in Seattle scheme

2/. That we keep/use our throw in QB & limit the amount of passes he throws

3/. Draft best LT, Center, etc this year & best QB next year

4/. Use 2022 as a shake out cruise for new players & new OC plays & tactics.

5/. Means 2022 will be not about wins but about enjoying maturation of team & players.

6/. Go to NFC championship game in 2023!!!!

There are only two QBs on your list that I would consider. Winston and Maiota. I can't see Pete Carroll not trying to win every game let alone every play. Even if it is 3rd and a 3 wood.

These are charectoristics you find in a winning coach. Pete has made some curious calls over the years but you could never say he is not a winner. The team building the bonding and his leadership skills all add upto a no chance he would accept tanking, but maybe if we are sitting at 2 wins 12 loses he may find it then. Victoria Chris

Winston is good and bad enough to be a one year guy, and if he magically lived up to his potential, then bonus! I feel almost the same about Mariota but he is more a runner so I feel more likely to be a Seahawk. Still think there’s a much better chance than you want to hear it’ll be Watson though.

For one year, I can live with any of your top 3. You know what you are getting, mostly mediocre with very brief flashes of brilliance, usually unplanned. There will be a few wins because the defense will be improving and special teams are always strong.

Decisions, decisions, decisions. I can suggest a good QB with excellent experience in "saving the day:" Find Nick Foles. I just don't know if he can be borrowed, bought, or stolen. I don't know another soul off the review, not a big researcher.. But I know Nick Foles. Why consider someone who might throw 15 intercepts when there's one man who can come in and deal with stress two years in a row ... check out the Eagles, back in time..

Just out of curiosity, if Lock were a free agent or trade option rather than a current Seahawk, how would he rank in these lists? I assume closer to bottom 5 than top 5, but is he interesting?

According to USA today, Kaep is still looking for a team to take him on and when he tweeted he was looking for route runners to practice with, Tyler Lockett offered up himself and his brother to go do it.

This is tenuous to say the least, but in the extreme unlikelihood that the stars align and Lady Luck is kind, I can’t think of anything cooler than Kaep being our bridge QB next year. It would be the most Seahawky thing ever, so let’s just kick the tyres for the hell of it, Pete.

Bucs drafted Jameis and 5 years later they won the Super Bowl - maybe it could happen for us!

Solid analysis, Joe ... added attraction: Pete & JS love those TOP draft picks (even years later). Sign them both, and bring back Luke Joeckl to anchor the OL!

I prefer Mariota, by a lot, but they're both elite athletes who have had time on the sidelines to

1) grow up (JW, Uber * one star)

2) learn pro defenses (MM).

Guessing MM would be a better team leader.
