Regarding the Rams, I think this comes back to something I heard in an interaction I had back in May. I met a reporter who covers the Seahawks, and he revealed to me that the Rams are one of the most dysfunctional teams in the NFL by his estimation. Kenneth, you may know better, but his point was that Kroenke is a terrible owner, and that he's the reason McVay though about retiring.

I do think it's very interesting how many of the Rams talked about retiring before the Super Bowl. McVay and Donald both were reported to be contemplating retirement if they won. Some part of that may be because they knew the roster would be in a much worse spot anyway, but I can't help but wonder if there really is more going on. This seems more than just the butcher's bill coming due for the "F them picks" franchise. I can't help but wonder if some of the key figures in that building really want to be there.

Last week I envisioned "as the defense focuses on stopping the Raiders run game, Carr takes his shots downfield and Quandre Diggs reminds us that he's really good with two interceptions." Somehow the only thing correct in that vision was the two Diggs interceptions. I thought I was making a logical if-this-then-that kind of vision, but instead it was an in-spite-of-this-then-that scenario. It's pretty much the only vision I got sorta right all year, but in my defense my visions are usually way too specific to have much probability of coming true.

The Hawks show they are capable of learning and play to stop the run, but unfortunately 2/3rds of the team are playing with the flu and struggle to contain as the game wears on. Jordan Brooks throws up on Kyren Williams after tackling him on a screen pass in the third quarter.

Ken Walker explodes for 200+ yards and 3 TDs because Aaron Donald isn't playing and sometimes things just go the way everyone expects them to.

DK and Ramsey both get fined.

Cooper Kupp is the Rams' star now. I can't think of another team where a non-QB is so critical. Their defense is still very good but without Donald will more more vulnerable.

Pete will insist we concentrate on the running game on both sides of the ball and the Rams still have great pass defense personel therefore the running game and short passing game will be the focus.

K9 will crest the century mark and score.

Homer will catch a TD or long gainer.

Dissly will play 80% of the offensive snaps and have six catches for 85 yards and a TD.

The run defense will hold the Rams under 80 yards rushing.

The final will be 34 - 3.

It’s crazy that here we all are, facing a complete train wreck of a franchise that is shorn of every single playmaker it ever had, and yet because the goblin chipmunk McVay will be on the sidelines we still fret that the Hawks might lose. Even though they have zero running backs, our current bette noire. And he is just giving up on the season anyway.

The Hawks can’t run the ball worth a damn and the Rams don’t get run in anyway, so it’s going to Geno Vs Wolford and their supporting casts. Only one winner.

Fant runs riot. Lockett bags a couple of TDs. Hawks get a pick 6 and force three fumbles. Hawks win easily in front of what sounds like a home crowd.

My vision for the week is kinda more like a nightmare. I'm seeing civil unrest across the land and lots of very angary people saying and doing inappropriate things that they might regret later. Broken TV's, burning jerseys, the threat of communal suicided, and the like. Between Seattle's totally dumb shit mistakes and and LAR's golden rays of good fortune the Rams get a win and the 12's lose their collective mind. The good NFL news is that Houston, Chicago, and Baltimore all win and inch Denver's pick ever closer to #1.

Nightmare Board:

1. Bobby Wagner has 2 sacks, 4 TFL's, and 16 tackles.

2. McVay has Waldon pegged and holds Seahawk offense to under 100 yards.

3. Wolford completes 70% of passes for over 400 yards.

'It’s like the Football Gods watched Seattle’s game against Las Vegas and said,

“Uhhh…okay…so the Raiders weren’t bad enough for you? Try this!”'

KenJoe, you're too much. Keep the chuckles coming.

I am going to think on my vision board and respond after I have a good noodle about Sunday. I loved 2 out of 3 of your clips today but I must say one was GROSS. That was Thomas Edison and the kinda of kiss talking. The Bruce Willis story was interesting, and the South Park clip was hilarious, thanks for the good laugh, Vision Board is just starting to form.

When we were in the AFC West it was always the Raiders games that went goofy and last week felt like deja vu. In the NFC West it's been the Rams, so...

Vision board: A one-score game that shouldn't be, undecided until the final series. Good entertainment for neutral fans, Tums material for us. Hawks make it needlessly interesting but pull out the W in spite of themselves.

Vision Board:

1) Jalen Ramsey will irritate DK and will provoke some physical retaliation. The CB will not get the best of their exchange...

2) The Rams will commit a major special teams blunder..

3) Pete Carroll will make a few rather bold 4th-down calls on the day...

Seattle schemed defensively wrong for two games in a row....the same mistakes twice. Because Tampa's run game sucked they schemed to stop the pass. Because of Devonte Adams big game against Denver the previous week (and who is is), they schemed against the pass again. They held Adams to under a 100 yards but failed to adjust to the run game using some single deep safety sets with an 8 man box on run oriented personnel. Never happened

So on to LA. The good news for Seattle is they don't have a good run or passing game. From Dumb and Dumber "So you say there's a chance". Seattle can scheme wrong and still have some defensive stops. The Football Gods have smiled on the Seahawks.

The Rams defense still has some good players but it's nothing what it's been in the past. No Donald, Floyd hasn't had a banner year and there are some other no descript holes out there Geno should be able to find. The Rams defense was rated 3rd by PFF overall and first against the run on 10/19/22. This week they are ranked 17th, and that was with Donald playing. They are still ranked pretty solid against the run.

I think Seattle is going to have to pass to win and I expect them to do just that. The interior line can't move furniture much less defensive lineman. K9 may not have a big game on the ground, but I do expect him to have some receiving yards. No Travis Homer this week and alas, no Josh Jones.

Pete called the illness the 48 hour flu and no besides Homer and Jones is listed as out. Neal should play this week. The 4th receiver will be Treadwill. Geno has a big game this week and expect the distribution to be good. Lockett usually has a good game against the Rams. Lockett is our best receiver this year, and just about every year. Look for DK and Ramsey to have their usual pissing match.

Seattle wins this week by 7 thanks to their passing offense. If the defense ever needed a get well game this is it.

Looks like I have to modify my vision. I had Homer scoring a TD but that's going to be tough to do from the bench in street clothes. So, I'll say K9 scores twice, once running and once on an outlet pass.
