3 Seahawks who could see their stock up in a year
Mike Macdonald and Ryan Grubb's influence could raise stock of these Seahawks: Seaside Joe 1906
Today is day 1906 of Seaside Joe and I’ll never forget where I was in the year 1906. It was April 18th and I was in San Francisco to buy some taffy with the three nickels I had made as a Coca-Cola bootlegger in 1905. There I was sleeping on a pile of pigfeed, which at the time was known as “the prequel to Tempur-Pedic”, when suddenly the ground started shaking violently.
Nearly the entire city of San Francisco was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake and now 118 years and 237 nickels richer later, I wonder if the Seahawks could do something similar to the 49ers’ grip on the NFC West.
(My apologies if you directly impacted by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, I don’t mean to offend)
In Seattle’s quest to dethrone the 49ers and Rams in the division, one of the most important players will be a 30-year-old free agent safety who was released from his former team in February even though the Jaguars aren’t exactly oozing talent in the secondary. But for Mike Macdonald’s defense to have immediate success with the Seahawks, he will need safeties Rayshawn Jenkins and Julian Love to be on their p’s and q(uake)’s.
