Seahawks tender Jake Bobo; 3 others re-signed
Seattle is holding onto the free agents they like at the right price
The Seahawks have given Jake Bobo the original round tender, meaning that one of the team’s top special teamers and backup receivers will get a raise to $3.52 million in 2026. That is unless one of two things happen:
The Seahawks extend Bobo to a multi-year deal (probably still worth about $3.5m per year)
Another team signs Bobo and Seattle opts not to match
Technically the team could also release Bobo as the money is not guaranteed. But in all likelihood though this means that the Seahawks get more Bobo.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Seahawks kept three more free agents:
Longsnapper Chris Stoll signed a two-year contract.
Backup offensive lineman Josh Jones signed a one-year contract.
Safety A.J. Finley signed a new contract.
I wrote about Stoll and Bobo a couple of weeks ago when I covered Seattle’s restricted free agents and predicted that both would sign multi-year deals. So far that’s not the case for Bobo and I did say that an original round tender for would be surprising at $3 million, but the Seahawks can still work around that number for Bobo. This just means he won’t leave in free agency without a fight; Bobo is not a starter but he would definitely make most 53-man rosters in the league.
In other news, Riq Woolen signed a one-year contract with the Eagles for a base of $12 million and a ceiling of $15 million. Woolen’s inability to land a multi-year contract falls in line with the belief I’ve had that he was not as highly-sought after as many expected him to be.
With the four major free agent departures that the Seahawks have had so far, they are in line for four 2027 compensatory picks:
4th round (Mafe)
5th round (Walker)
5th round (Bryant)
5th round (Woolen)
That would be quite a nice boost for Seattle’s overall draft capital and could give John Schneider a little more comfort if he decides to borrow from 2027 to get another pick in 2026. Although the Seahawks can’t trade next year’s comp picks (they don’t even have them yet) they could trade their own picks with the comfort that they will get comp picks next year.
Seahawks remaining free agents:
Dareke Young (unrestricted)
Chazz Surratt (unrestricted)
Cody White (RFA)
Brandon Pili (RFA)
Brady Russell (RFA)
It’d be surprising for Russell to not be retained. Young would also probably be a reasonable expectation to return.

I also feel they sign Pili. With J Reed’s age and limited draft capital this year, I feel DT can be filled with Mills, Big Cat, Murphy and Pili on the cheap. D Young and Russell will finish off the list of unsigned Seahawks from 2025, unless Cody White and Charles Surratt get added on the cheap.
With the 15 players signed a month ago to futures contracts (basically the 2025 Ready Squad), the 9 players signed over the past 3 days, and the remaining Seahawks players already under contract for 2026, this roster is much bigger than it was last year at this time. A lot of the same faces coming back to camp this year.
Anyone looking at RBs late in the draft? Not much but...I'll put this name out there, Adam Randall. Clemson wr that switched to rb senior year because injuries. 6-3 232lb 4.5 forty. According to espn zero career fumbles. Hmmm....
