I would be shocked if Sundell gets replaced vs AB. I can't imagine a world where AB is king of the RG spot.

As a 30-yr-old pro-bowler for 8 years, I assume Nelson gets top $$ OG contract after this season. And AB probably does too? Big money for a one of these guys to stay.

Just the beginning, I hope. Could we add to our riches on the D line and add Deforest to snatch him before the Whiners do? Could we see a reunion with Dareke Young if the Raiders lose their next 2? Could definitely use k/r and gunner help, plus a big-bodied wr for blocking w/o Bobo.

We had like 12 picks in next year's Draft, I'm thinking. Down to 10 now...?

I think you're right.

LFGGGGGGGG!!!!! PERENNIAL All-pro addition in his prime. Now Grey can move to the right (if needed) AND flexibility to switch back to left if there's an injury. AB or Grey as a backup: wow. Our short yardage plays just got a lot more powerful too. What a stud. JS FOR PRESIDENT!!!!

As a Notre Dame alum, I am PUMPED to add maybe our best pro in the last decade! 4 ND guys on the team now

Oooo. Interesting...

At this point, why even watch the games and follow the news? Just read seasidejoe and you'll know what's going to happen before it happens.

Can’t have too many good offensive linemen! Nice bonus for this season and then probably push to keep him next season while Bradford leaves. JS plays 4D chess!

AB is home here. If not for the patience and trust of Coach Benton and the Guys, he'd be applying his college education somewhere.

Certainly this huge. Nelson is durable with several years in the tank. This gives the Hawks three guards to keep the line strong. With our RBs coming on line the offense should be a force our opponents wish they didn't have to face.

I'm in HEAVEN! Replace the weak link with an All-Pro? Count me in!

This was the most important move they could make.

RB - Let's see what they get out of Charbonnet and Price hopefully this coming week.

WR - Not sure there's anyone out there that's an upgrade that would be worth the potential draft capital.

EDGE - Could we upgrade Dante Fowler's spot for less than you think (Khalil Mack, anyone)?

Ur a wizard Harry!

JS must have a subscription with SSJ :) , JS if you read this and if SSJ agrees pass on JT and go get Khalil M ...

Now we just need to grab Jonathan Taylor while the Colts are selling… 🙏

Well, AWESOME!

This will be a huge boost to our run game, which is critical if we are to play “complementary football” as HC MM loves to say.

What we saw against the Chiefs was exactly that or “Seahawks Football” if you prefer. Balanced attack, solid run game, long, sustained drives, effective play action, all of which give the Defense a breather, then the Darkside comes in and does it’s thing and strangles the opposing offense.

This is hugely exciting and as usual, SSJ was way ahead of everyone else on this.

I wouldn’t be sad if we got Jonathan Taylor too!!

I wonder if Grey Zabel might eventually be moved to center? They haven’t signed Sundell to an extension yet. Maybe they are waiting to see if they want Bradford or Sundell long term?

BEASTMODE808's avatar

Absolutely a possibility. There was chatter to move him when he got drafted. So versatile.

Up to this point, Coach Benton and His Guys have looked to themselves to provide anything the Team needed to open running paths or protect Sam. Benton had to take great care with making roster adjustments, lest he disturb the Family zeitgeist. I have zero doubts the whole Group agrees with this move. They tried everything. Quenton will feel their welcome. Let's hope it's his Dream Job.

Is C the "least" valuable position on the line? I know sundell got blown up a few times this season, but i feel the upside could be higher for nelson-sundell-zabel to stay together than nelson-zabel-bradford.

Idk tho, willing to defer.

I also wonder if they might trade one of our guards now

Danno's avatar

I’m only wondering because they could have extended Sundell already, but haven’t. Center is an important position on the Seahawks for two reasons. The center calls protections for each play when they get to the line, and in wide zone the center has to be very mobile to get out laterally and to the second level. I think Sundell does that very well, but his weakness is his stoutness. He can give up a lot of ground to bull rushes. It’s a sacrifice that’s made for the mobility. Olu is more stout, but just can’t get out and make the reach blocks and downfield blocks. I like Nelson and Zabel long term for sure, but we have to extend Nelson. I wonder if Sundell hasn’t been signed because they have not come together on the money just yet.

This would be a great Baldy Breakdown.

Zabel, Bradford, Haynes, Stevens, with Cabludue in IR. I bet there’s another trade coming.
