Seahawks training camp updates, Saturday, 8/12/2023
Tape analysis on Drew Lock, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Olu Oluwatimi vs Vikings: 8/12/2023
The Seattle Seahawks keep ramping up the workload for Ken Walker III and Riq Woolen, which is the main takeaway from Saturday’s practice and Pete Carroll’s post-camp press conference. There wasn’t much else reported other than the main takeaways from P.C.’s P.C.:
-Olu Oluwatimi could miss a couple of days with an elbow injury
-Devon Witherspoon remains day-to-day
-Jon Rhattigan is also out for a couple of days with an elbow injury
-D’Wayne Eskridge will miss “a few weeks” with a “legit knee sprain”. Injuries are never good news, but in Eskridge’s case he doesn’t have anything other than time off when the season starts because of his six-game suspension.
-Devin Bush missed practice on Saturday because his knee is bothering him, but Pete said that he had a great preseason debut and that he was also a standout on special teams.
-Coby Bryant is one of the best hitters on the team and he’s getting more comfortable at safety.
