I really liked the OL video. It's so much more difficult as fans to understand and appreciate what separates the good from the bad with these guys as opposed to the "skill" position players. Unless they are pancaking guys or giving up sacks, it's hard to see the impact they have on any given play. The most illuminating thing from this video for me is seeing Kelce overrun his blocking assignment, but still effectively taking that LB out of the play by cutting off his angle to the ball carrier. Being in the right place at the right time, particularly in run blocking where the right place might be way over there and the right time might be faster than that 240 pound LB, is hugely important and goes mostly unseen by fans.

Also, Clark is adorable.

I'm still assimilating...

I started working with a Seattle-area martial arts studio about 50 years ago, now. The first thing they taught us was how to stand. Then, they taught us how to walk...it was almost identical to the footwork described in the video: perpendicular shin = no foundation...short first step to build momentum...sometimes a backwards slide-hop in the lead foot first to bend that knee, followed by punching the ground with that foot...keep it all under your hips unless you need to change direction...don't over-commit. It was all about load transmission and leverage.

I was darn-near coming out of my chair when I saw that ungainly foot-twist move. Dude's gonna break his ankle one of these days.

So, being an Idiot in a football Village, that was really relevant to me. I probably need to watch it about 3 dozen more times to grok the whole thing.

I'd really like to see the equivalent treatment of handwork in the line. Even better would be one relevant to Metcalf's handwork catching the ball...with any luck, there's a piece out there comparing Lockette's hands to Metcalf's & explaining where Metcalf could improve...

Dang...there I go again...whining about a Suggestion Box. Clark will be very, very disappointed with my attitude when he hears about it. I am already hanging my head in shame.

Mrs Turtleman is in love with the Clark pictures and we’re both honored that he loves his taco so much! One of my favorite things about dogs is how each one gravitates towards certain toys over others. Eleanor loves her purple dinosaur the most the same way Clark takes to the taco. Let me know if it’s ever wearing out and I’ll be sure to send another. Or if he just needs a backup taco.

By the way, I'm "Seaside Chip," in spite of my online nickname. Didn't want anyone to think I'm trying to take someone's dog shine!

My goodness Clark is a handsome fella.

Thanks for the training camp countdown at the top. It’s a great reminder that football-like activity starts soon.

Also I’m enjoying the X’s and O’s clips you’ve been sharing.

I see no reason why DK can't bust out this season. Look at Kupp's numbers, he didn't have his big season until age 28.

Clark is the most content and happy dog I’ve ever seen! Is that his seat restraint on him on the way to his haircut? ❤️❤️

Harness for his leash! Car rides are his favorite thing to do though, he tries to run his fastest when we're heading towards the car.

What breed, or combination of breeds, is Clark? He is a cute dog and, I'm sure, a great buddy for you.
