Was that a Seahawks game or a Final Destination movie? It felt like watching my friends die right in front of me, only to come back to life and then get killed again.
The Seattle Seahawks lost to the San Francisco 49ers 32-29 on Sunday, one of the ugliest games by an offense that you will ever watch.

I can’t muster up many words for this game right now, but maybe you can and I’d really appreciate it if you did. Jump in the comments and share your immediate thoughts:
Sam Darnold threw two interceptions and Seattle’s running backs fumbled twice, including one by Emanuel Wilson that led to a quick touchdown, and one by George Holani that led directly to a touchdown just before the half.
I knew that the Seahawks couldn’t kneel because the 49ers had three timeouts, but I thought they might at least kneel once with Darnold running around to at least kill five or six seconds. Nope. Seattle went directly to a call that had to be worse than a passing play: Outside zone run to a third-string running back against Fred Warner.
Even so, you can’t beat the Seahawks that easily.
Seattle held a lead in the second half and should have at least been able to get into field goal range, but Jaxon Smith-Njigba was unable to haul in a pass inside the red zone. Cooper Kupp’s final fourth down play might have been a first down, but let’s be honest about it.
If the roles were reversed, would you have argued it was a first down for the 49ers? Don’t put yourself in position to NEED that play.
JSN was the one shining star on offense, gaining over 100 yards again.
Byron Murphy had two sacks and a big run stop to be Seattle’s “Defensive Player of the Game”. Nehemiah Pritchett had an interception and will be the Special Teams Player of the Game.
The Seahawks are 3-2, the 49ers are 5-0. At least we know one thing:
The last time the Seahawks lost to the 49ers at home in the regular season, they won the Super Bowl.

The Seahawks defense gave up a field goal and a touchdown. That should have been enough to win this game. Three offensive turnovers led to 49er scoring TD drives of 18, 11 and 0 yards. We really need to get Charbs and Price back on the field. Darnold has a hard time without a viable play action threat. Defenses don’t respect Holani or Wilson as a run threat. Sam needs to learn to throw it away. Several times he had time to throw, but took a sack after 4 seconds to throw it. Those sacks killed the drives that might have been there if it was only an incompleted pass. JSN was slowed by his ankle. Horton was a scoring machine last year. He looks healthy, but gets no targets???? We have a very tough game this Thursday. Time to see what we’re made of….
During the previous two games, the Seahawks seemed to lack intensity and urgency. That phase of the season has ended.
Now, let’s end the phase of the season where the team makes unforced errors and gives the ball away.
Did you know that over 9,876 touches, Joe Mixon fumbled six times? Can we get a second opinion on his physical?
