If you are going to mention the 2021 draft class you should mention Jake Curhan. He has a future as a starter, likely at guard. But otherwise has there ever been a worse draft class that you can think of? Like, ever?

Thanks for your write up. You've put together in words what I feel. I'm pleased with the way things are unfolding. Extremely pleased in fact. All of our draft picks appear to be panning out. Watched Cross like a hawk through the whole game and he didn't make any significant mistakes. Sure, he was playing against backups, but there was no cause for concern. On the Lucas clip you posted, he locked up his guy better than Cross locked up his. Mafe looked great as a passrusher; not as strong against the run, but we already knew that. Numbers 8 and 39 had great moments and some not-so-great but, given their draft position, that's great. Both appear to have significant potential. Woolen most of all but Bryant seems far more ready for prime time. Walker was fine. He didn't show what we believe him capable of but it was a solid debut. Particularly liked his pass reception moment. I'd prefer if he didn't return kicks or punts, given the risk of injury and the week-to-week stresses on the body of any well-used running back.

As a good home run threat, it'll be harder for Walker to stand out with only 5-6 touches a game, which is what I would expect in the early going this year. Loved the catch!

When you put it like that... Makes no sense for Seahawks getting no love for what I think has been an outstanding off season. This team could be dangerous with a new QB. Things just got even more interesting in the WR room. Feel bad for Bellore, but his versatility and vet leadership make him valuable. Looks like Richard Sherman giving input on the DBs. Would be nice having him mentor our rookies. Michael Bennett is a Seahawks treasure!

Great offseason!

I don't know how good his anchor is, but Myles seems quick enough to get penetration from the 3-Tech position. That is a pretty rare attribute worth watching closely

Could be an intriguing steal.

Gotta say it: Nick Bellore, as much as I love his heart, was embarrassing to watch vs the Steelers.

The longer they are not on the field, the easier it is to forget about Eskridge and Tre Brown. Either/both should be worried about their future with the team.

But the 2022 offseason--draft class especially--is killing it.

I would have to expect Brown to start the year on PUP and he could be a good midseason addition.

Good points and that is the cold hard truth of pro sports. I believe both Eskridge and Brown will make it this year. Nick looked good at Linebacker last pre season, but not Saturday night but for the pass break up. I think Pete will keep him for special teams where he has been great. He is also one of the only old heads left. His gregarious nature will see him through, maybe 😃 🤔

I am glad you mention Myles Adams and Vi Jones, as both of them stood out to me. Baye Mafe flashed a number of times and that is all you can ask at this point. If he plays the same way through the season Seattle has unearthed a beauty. His closing speed on his special teams tackle and sack are very promising. You put that with all of the fantastic athletic numbers Joe has shown us and there is plenty of room for optimisim. I made a comment on the YouTube highlights of the game. It was very simple, I think Geno is slow to process and slow of foot, I would prefer Lock as he would be exciting. Some of the grief I got was astounding, finally I had to defend my comment, saying learn how to read I said exciting not a plus 500 quarterback. To me Lock is exciting as we know he has the tools it's weather Pete views it this way, I am crossing my fingers he starts Thursday night like Joe has suggested. If Pete is true to his word Lock will start as Pete said he was going to even the reps out between Lock and Geno.

Final note, from an entertainment standpoint, that was one of the best pre season games I have watched. The refs didn't get in the way, and we watched football. There were probably fouls on every play, however the refs did well. If the foul had no bearing on the outcome of the play, they put the flag away. Well done the ZEBRAS !

Yeah, Mafe could be productive immediately

If the Seahawks had a Juszczyk, then yeah, you make a good point.

Why do we need a fullback, period? Lots of teams don't have them. They seem a throwback, so to speak, to an earlier time. How often does any team, Seattle included, line up in a two-back set with a halfback and a fullback?

I don't recall running a traditional two-back set in a very long time. You bring back memories, though. Chuck Knox loved it.
